We had a great stay! The house is perfect - really comfortable and has everything you need. We spent most of our time in front of the fire place, but found cooking meals and everything else very easy. It is well located - close to a lot of towns worth exploring. Pine Plains itself does not have much, but we took a few nature walks that were beautiful. I would definitely recommend this house to others.
We enjoyed this clean, comfortable house with a nice yard. It’s on a busy road, but traffic noise is not a problem (none at night). Notably, the homeowner was great to deal with: responsive and helpful, and she addressed a couple of issues on our end with understanding and good humor.
This felt more like a "stay with some welcoming friends" weekend than a "invade some strangers' sterile home" experience. Katie (the owner) was available for questions and texts, and left specific instructions and advice on how to make the stay the best it could be. It's clearly a property and an experience the owners care about.
