Overview:

Farmhouse of Blessing is a lovely cottage set in Holmes County, OH, home to one of the nations largest Amish populations. You will enjoy our sparkling clean home that offers a calm and relaxing environment. We also offer free late Sunday checkout. No checking out until 4:00.

We have a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living area with original brick and beams, and a lovely outdoor patio area. There are two bedrooms, a pull out couch in the dining room, and two full bathrooms. The laundry room has a vanity/sink area to supplement the bathrooms.

If your check-out date falls on a Sunday, we offer free 6:00 PM Sunday checkout. It's our way of saying thank you.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

- We kindly ask that there are no fireworks, loud music, or rowdy behavior.

-- Please be aware you will be charged 10% of the total trip at booking and the remaining 90% will be charged to the card on file, thirty days before check-in.

- Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM.

A wonderful getaway

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at this charming and welcoming farmhouse. It’s within easy distance of all attractions in this beautiful part of Amish country. We had the most lovely visits with the horses and the cats on the grounds, and we also met the property owner who could not have been nicer or more helpful.Our three days were restorative in all ways, and we are looking forward to staying here again.

Very Clean and Good Location

This was a very clean place that was very close to Berlin and other cities in Amish country. Met the owner who was very friendly and was helpful with advice. Highly recommend, and would stay again, if I returned to the area.

The host family was so wonderful. One of their sons rode over to help when they saw us - which was great because we didn’t have the code to get in the house. The house was so beautiful and so charming and everything is so perfectly arranged for a wonderful visit. Everything is absolutely immaculate and the sunsets over the pasture are beautiful. Their kittens in the barn to Pet and the horses are very friendly. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make a nice dinner, and there’s a wonderful little coffeehouse Café within walking distance. It was wonderful to listen to the horses hooves and see the buggies ride by. We told our three teenagers that we wanted them to see what America was like a long time ago, and their discovery that this way of life is very much this way in wonderful Amish Ohio….made a big wonderful impression on our teenagers. All of the places you will want to visit are close by. The Troyer family is wonderful and we loved learning a bit about the history of this special farmhouse and its restoration. THANK YOU for our perfect vacation!

Blessed and Refreshed

This property is super cute and the hosts were awesome. Fresh cookies on the tables upon arrival. They brought a bucket of toys up for our kids. Super clean and close to about everything. We will be back.

Highly Recommend

The house was lovely, clean and easy to get around! My SIL and I did sewing, played board games. Matthew checked if we needed anything and had a very nice conversation with him! We will definitely be back! Also, the kitchen was perfect for cooking our meals!

Gorgeous Home, Breath Taking Views

This home was beautiful and very homey. My husband and I were extremely comfortable and appreciated all the small touches that made it feel elegant. The views from the kitchen were breath taking. The communication with the ow er was great! Highly reccommend! If we come back to this area, we would love to stay again!

Cozy White Cottage

The pretty white cottage was immaculate, so well furnished with a farmhouse feel. We loved the kitchen! Even the pull out couch was comfy! Loved that there was an ample supply of towels, etc. The only thing we would change would be if it was a little further from the road because there seemed to be a great deal of traffic. But we would stay again, even with saying that.

Even better than expected

The cottage was the cleanest place I have ever stayed, clean even behind the furniture. It was such a relaxing experience. Loved hearing the church bells playing, loved that it was an easy walk to the Beacon cafe, the hosts were near by and even lent us a rolling pin since we forgot to pack one. The only negative is it is very close to the road so we did see/hear a lot of traffic. To me the positives far outweigh that one issue! We plan on booking again next year.

It WAS a Blessing!

We took our annual 3-day trip to this area with our adult twin daughters, who leave their husbands and kids at home each year for a couple of days to hang out with us. This is the first time we haven't stayed at a hotel, and wow... what a great time! We shopped in the daytime and played games in the evenings. We were so much more comfortable than ever before. Thanks for a lovely, super CLEAN place to get away. A blessing, for sure!!

This property is amazing. Other than a hiccup with my welcome email, we really enjoyed our time. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful! I loved being able to scratch the horses and cats. No TV meant that my husband and I were able to just relax and talk. We did cheat, and watched a movie on a laptop. But we agreed and enjoyed it together. I can't wait to return to this property...OH, and the sun rises...AMAZING!!

Exactly what I wanted

Cleanliness was out the roof! Everything you would need in a kitchen! Best unexpected treat was the sweet horses in the barn out back. The highway out front was a little to close to the bedrooms, making for some traffic noise early in the morning while we were still sleeping. But everything else was perfect and quickly made up for that one small issue. We plan to make this trip annually! Thank you!
