A beautiful and secluded spot with tremendous views and all the amenities you will ever need. Truly one of the best vacation rentals we have ever done. We will hopefully make it back soon.
The house and the property were fantastic. The house was fully stocked and the hosts were so kind and accommodating! I would recommend this to anyone who needs a larger home to stay at.
This cabin was just the retreat we needed while in town for a golf tournament. Serene and relaxing, with everything you could possibly need while staying away from home. Highly recommend!
This was probably the best VRBO experience out of all of them. It was the perfect “Lincoln Log House” as one grandson called it. Plenty of room, very clean, owners were very accommodating. Perfect!
We love staying at the secluded cabin in the woods. The cabin is gorgeous and everything that we needed was supplied. It is so quiet and peaceful. Our entire family loves staying in the cabin. We look forward to staying there again. The host couple is very easy to work with and very accommodating. I give it 5 stars!
This property is beautiful and the cabin provides great space for family of all ages to spend time together. We made meals together and everything we needed was there. Very clean and well maintained cabin with layout that makes traveling with multiple families and ages comfortable. Enjoyed the trails - and hope we can explore trails even more in future stays.
The property was perfect for our multi-family get together. Plenty of space for kids to run and play! Endless activities. Beautiful views. Peaceful & serene.
The property is great with amazing views. The inside of the cabin has plenty of space and everything you would need for a nice relaxing weekend. The outside has tons of places to hang out, play games, and roam around. The owners are top notch and absolutely a pleasure to work with.

Thank you Heather for your kind comments- and for taking such great care of our cabin!
This place is amazing. Chad & Lori are wonderful hosts and very accommodating. They have everything you could possibly need for your stay. There were 13 in our group and there was plenty of room in the cabin as well as outdoors. Quiet and secluded and the view of the lake is awesome. We are already talking about booking again next year.
Our stay with family traveling with several states was just perfect! Small details, like toiletries in each bathroom, comforts like extra blankets and comfy beds in every space, and the amenities of a large, well stocked kitchen made our short stay here excellent. The property, inside and outside, are beautiful and kept up immaculately. Our hosts were wonderfully helpful and hospitable. Don't hesitate to book here. It's one of the nicest VRBOs we've ever stayed!
Such a beautiful home and location. Stunning views. Remote but close to town, Lewis and Clark, golf courses, etc. The owners were great and have the place very well stocked (best we’ve experienced in a rental property). All the outdoor games and activities you can think of. Top notch all around. We will be back!
We had a fabulous time celebrating a 60th birthday with the family. Really enjoyed the walking trails and my husband loved the comfortable mattresses. Kitchen and bathrooms are overly supplied. Also loved the beautiful fall leaves, lake view and the quiet!
There was 15 of us and we had the best time. The home is so warming and offered enough room for our family. The children were so excited to see deer and turkeys when they woke up in the morning. We walked the trails, played yard games and relaxed on the large deck looking over the lake
Thank you Chad and Lori for sharing your beautiful home. Plan on coming back next year.
Chad and Lori are phenomenal hosts! They thought of everything to stock their beautiful cabin to make it a wonderful experience for all. The cabin has such beautiful character and the views are breathtaking. We enjoyed every moment being there - only problem was we weren't there long enough! We also have a special needs son that Chad even helped carry his wheelchair up into the cabin for! Truly, we can't thank them enough for their incredible hospitality. We will definitely be planning on going back again. Thank you for a wonderful time away - it was worth every penny!

Thank you Katie and Bobby for such great feedback - really enjoyed having you at the cabin and would love to have you back any time!
We rented this cabin for a family vacay with my parents, my husband & I & our 4 boys, & my 3 brothers & their wives & kids. We enjoyed the campfire area with nice rocking camp chairs. The cabin had EVERYTHING we needed. 3.5 baths with plenty of hot water. Toys for kids. Plenty of towels! Everything was clean & modern. Nice oudoor table for our big group. Plenty of space for us to relax! Smart TVs. We wanted to use the awesome trails more but it rained so it was too muddy. Great place for a family!
We had a great experience renting this home! The owners thought of everything to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The property was gorgeous and secluded with a hiking trail and fire pit area, and was only minutes away from the state park/boat ramps. There was plenty of parking space as we had 2 pickups and 2 boats, as well as 4 other vehicles. We loved the wrap around deck which had plenty of seating and offered a gorgeous view of the lake. The cabin itself was beautiful and clean- plenty of room for the 17 of us in our group to sprawl out. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could need, so cooking our meals there was convenient. Do not hesitate to rent this gem!
Fantastic log cabin loaded with creature comforts. Well stocked with plenty of kitchenware, spices, and a great selection of coffee makers. We loved having plenty of new towels and luxurious blankets. The furniture was comfy and the beds were superb. The owners have labeled the lights and fans which made things easy. The game room was really fun and it was nice to have the best mud room to organize our comings and goings.
Gazing at Lewis and Clark lake while having coffee on the deck was really special.
For me, the trail system built on this private property was a wonderful way to connect with nature and the serenity of this property.
Chad, the owner, was extremely helpful, flexible, and generous. He shared some of the history of the cabin which was very interesting. Thank you so much Chad and Lori.

Thank you so much Susan for choosing our cabin and for such nice comments - best,
Chad
We held our small/intimate wedding for approximately 20 people in total in the living room of the property due to it being winter. It would definitely make a great fit for any small outdoor gatherings as well. Not all of our guests stayed the night, however there was more than enough beds and space for people to sleep and/or get ready comfortably. Chad and Lori were wonderful hosts for the following reasons: they let us perform our small event at their property, they were super helpful and accommodating with offering any assistance and/or extra storage options if we needed to bring a few things to the property in advance, and they were easy to communicate with leading up to check-in. We so loved our time in this beautiful cabin and enjoyed all its amenities and peacefulness. We would highly recommend for anyone looking to spend time with family/friends at a great affordable price. Thanks to Chad and Lori helping make our day special!

About the host
Hosted by Chad & Lori
We are both farm raised Nebraska kids who love being outside and exploring nature. Now, we have a family of 5 and enjoy camping and boating and all the fun the lake has to offer. We have 3 cats, 1 dog and 1 horse. Our summers are full of ballgames, family gatherings and as much lake time as we can squeeze in.
Why they chose this property
Chad grew nearby and spent many summers camping at Lewis & Clark Lake. Ever since we moved back to the area, we have enjoyed camping and boating on the lake. When we came across this property, we fell in love. Of course because of the quick access to the lake, but even more because it offered the privacy and natural beauty that we both enjoyed when we were young.
What makes this property unique
40 acres of private, heavily wooded landscape, with trails throughout for you to explore and re-discover true natural beauty.
