Secluded and Private Oasis in the Redwoods
The Sun House is built on the edge of the redwood forest, high in the trees. Step into the sunny, wood clad entryway, through a sliding barn door and pivot into the cabin interior where you will find floor to ceiling windows that frame the view. The downstairs bedroom has great light and a very comfortable full sized bed. The living room area has a large leather couch for reading, resting and listening to the birds. An antique dining table sits four comfortably in the main space. A simple, open kitchen provides basic cooking abilities. Ascend a hobbit-like staircase to the lofted bedroom with two dormers, a writing desk and full size bed. Steps from the front barn door is the outdoor shower, especially wonderful under the stars. If you are seeking a rustic hideaway, peace and quiet, welcome home!

Hi! Hannah grew up in West Marin/Kaua'i and is a midwife. Sterling grew up on the Chesapeake Bay and is a carpenter. We are so fortunate to be living on this rugged and gorgeous coast and happy to share our land with visitors from afar. We have a rambunctious male orange tabby named Rose and a sweet elderly Shepard named Nai'a. Both will most likely greet you upon arrival rain or shine. We live on the Western edge of the property with our newborn daughter in the original A-frame dwelling built in 1974. We spend our free time renovating, playing music, cooking and enjoying the beaches year round.

Drive along Navarro Ridge Road, one of the most idyllic ridge tops, to our property, tucked away on the edge of the northern facing forest. The Sun House is perched at the bottom of a sloping path, overlooking Middle and Albion Ridges.
What makes this property unique
The Sun House is secluded and therefore only accessible by able-bodies. It is not uncommon to see an array of wildlife during your stay including owls, fox, bear, banana slugs, bats, bobcats and an array of migrating birds.
