House was very comfortable but couldUse some tlc. Rained hard and gutters were completely full of leaves so water just ran over the gutters onto the deckOutside the house. Constant dripping all night. Inside areas above front door needs some attention. Have owners look up there and they willUnderstand.
Enjoyed this peaceful lake property. The dock, fire pit and view are all wonderful. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs. The home and deck need some work/updating but overall a good place to spend Thanksgiving with our Georgia family. Location is great. Thank you for sharing your home with us
The property was in a nice quiet neighborhood on a nice spot on the lake. We enjoyed time on the dock swimming as well as kayaking and boating in the lake. We had everything we needed. Check in and Check out was simple. The host was great at communicating and answering my questions.
We had a wonderful stay. Perfect quiet spot for some fishing right out the back door. Fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. House is very well stocked with everything you need and more. Host was lovely to deal with.
We enjoyed our stay recently at Loch Way on beautiful Lake Oconee. The house was on a quiet culdesac right on the lake. The backyard is fenced and pet friendly. There is a great dock and fire pit for fun times
The house is comfortable and fully equipped. We appreciated the manager’s prompt response to all of our questions and great recommendations for restaurants and boat rentals.
We would recommend this rental for a fun family gathering.

We had a very nice, relaxing stay at Joni's beautiful house
on Lake Oconee. The check in process was very easy and
the accommodations were very nice and comfortable.
Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us to help
celebrate my 70th birthday!!
We had a great week here on lake oconee. We loved the sunrise cove for kayaking and fishing. great dock to fish from and sit out, a great yard to let the dog run free and great fire pit.
The owners couldn’t have been more responsive to our needs during our stay.
This trip was for my elderly dad who is very sick. He he loves the lake and ask us to find a place to visit. So that's what we did. He enjoyed it very much and so did we
Our family thoroughly enjoyed this property which is nestled nicely in a quaint cove. The house is very clean with comfy beds. Easy access to the boat dock and our dogs loved the backyard. The outside needs some attention but didn’t deter us from being outdoors. We’d be happy to stay here again.
We really enjoyed your home. The view was beautiful and the path to the dock was accessible for all. The only issue is if you can not climb a ladder on the dock you are not able to get in or out of the water. We will consider your home again in the future.
Our family recently had the opportunity to rent out this beautiful home on Lake Oconee for our mother's 70th birthday celebration. Joni and her husband couldn't have been kinder in the process and have built such a wonderful place for anyone to stay. All the beds and furniture were very comfy. There's a great kitchen & grill if you'd like to cook at home and also a very nice fenced-in backyard. The dock is a great place to hang out and let the kids play in the water and I know would be great to dock up to if you have a boat or are renting from a local vendor who allows the boat to travel to the house. Unfortunately, Young Harris has boundary lines that cut off at a nearby bridge overpass. The drive to Young Harris is only about 8 mins from the house so this did not ruin the great time we had on the lake or the experience we had at the Aden home or with Young Harris!!! There are also many other vendors in the area that rent boats, so I would call around to make sure the boat can travel to the home if you're planning on docking. At night there's a beautiful fire pit for smores and can see stars for days. The drive to local restaurants is very short and while we didn't make it the drive to historic Madison, GA is only 30 mins away. The Aden's home I would highly recommend to anyone looking for some time on beautiful Lake Oconee and a beautiful time with family, thank you Aden's!!! Happy travels!!!
This place was just perfect for us. 4 adults+2 Kids (8 and 10) + dogs. Large fenced in yard let the kids and dogs play safely. Dock let us fish and rent pool toys (boat/jet skis/paddle boards) for lot fun. House sits nicely on the lake with awesome views. Neighbors were extremely friendly. Communications with the owner (Joni) where fast and very helpful. Bottom line-will be back
Highly recommend this house for a stay on Lake Oconee. Clean and well equipped. Fenced yard is great for the dogs. It rained a lot during our stay and there’s not much of a town but if you have the means to rent a boat or lake toys you will enjoy the water. Morning coffee and evening cocktails on the dock
We had a family wedding and stayed for a long weekend. It was the perfect location to all the venues and events. Loved sitting on the deck each morning with my coffee and a book - such beautiful scenery!
My 88 year-old parents appreciated the one-level and found the accommodations comfortable.
Our family enjoyed our experience!
Communication was exceptional.
The house had a fenced yard for our dog and everything was great. The lockbox was a little difficult to open upon arrival, but we finally got it opened.
After renting several homes on this lake we will definitely be renting this property again. Very comfortable and spacious with everything you need. Only suggestion is to bring extra paper products. This property is close to everything many restaurants and Publix grocery store. We were happy to see tv’s in each room. I find many homes don’t offer tv’s in bedrooms, that’s something I look for when renting. We have a pontoon boat we were able to leave at a very large well maintained dock. Plenty of room to fish or just enjoy the view.
We just spent 6 days and had a wonderful stay. The fenced backyard was a plus with our dogs. We loved being able to park our boat right out back. We enjoyed the fire pit each night as well
The house was tired and needed repairs. The deck though fantastic had lots of dry rot not detracting from the experience but looked bad. The light switch in the kitchen was an electrical problem waiting to happen. Beds were great, no garage opener to be found as indicated, Heinz 57 for mis matched pots and pans. The flash lights provided on the counter were dead and of no use. The master tub when used spit out crude and dirt. We would do it again but would connect with the host to make sure we totally understood what to expect.
Wonderful yard and pier on the lake. Great yard for a dog as was level and fenced. Deck very spacious with nice dining table. Kitchen had every cooking utensil possible. Large bedrooms-very comfy.

My husband grew up in Nebraska and spent his weekends in a cabin on Lake Jeffrey. His best childhood memories are of those times with family on the water. I grew up in Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 Lakes. We married and moved to San Diego, but I missed the lakes and trees and the ocean just did not have the character that lakes offered. We moved to Georgia in 1992. We love the southern hospitality and the BBQ. The heat and humidity, well not as much. After we had three boys, we knew we wanted to have a place to escape to on the weekends and to build life-long memories. We love spending time together on the lake. The boys are avid surfers, boarders, skiers, you name it. They also love to fish and hunt. I love the quietness of the neighborhood and the cove. It is never crowded with boats. I love to sit by the water and read or do crafts on the back deck. Please visit our home and let us know what you think.
Why they chose this property
With three young boys and a boat stored up at Lake Lanier, we had a frightening moment when our youngest of 15 months was nearly thrown overboard, right out of my arms, by a large house boat and speed boat creating havoc in the water. It was at that point I told my husband I would never take the children back to Lake Lanier. The traffic was frightening and the lack of restrictions on boats and boating made it difficult for families to enjoy. We researched Lake Oconee and absolutely fell in love with it the first time we visited. The lake is beautiful. The shoreline is beautiful. The homes are nestled in neighborhoods along the water or on golf courses. Whether you are a water enthusiast, fisherman, hunter, golfer, bookworm or craft enthusiast, there is something there for everyone. Great dining and shopping and a great movie theatre for those rainy days.
What makes this property unique
Our cove is unique in that it is a "wind-protected" cove. Most days the main lake is very choppy and difficult to boat on. Our cove, on the other hand, is calm. It is not a main thoroughfare from the main lake to the marina. It is a perfect place for beginning skiers or wake boarders. It is quiet. No traffic noise. Stargazing is great at night. Our neighborhood is small and we have great neighbors. We have 150' of shoreline. When the days are too hot or rainy, enjoy time indoors playing games, assembling puzzles or watching movies. Please visit our home.
