Quiet cottage nestled in the woods

Feel far away while not going far. This cozy quiet cottage is located on the edge of a 41 acre Certified tree farm. This cabin is one of 2 cabins available for rent. Beautiful serene wooded view with lots of Maples, massive Oaks, and beautiful Buckeye trees. Feel free to collect Buckeye nuts to take home with you. Lots of wildflowers and native plants. Spacious 3-season sunroom to enjoy the view. Pet friendly with a large fenced-in dog area. Tons of wildlife include whitetail deer, wild turkey, birds, fox, and more. Come get away from the hustle and bustle and relax in our serene woods. You can also enjoy an outdoor fire pit, indoor/outdoor seating, a huge yard, outdoor games, board games, and more. Come reconnect with nature. Grab a good book, relax, write or just watch the local wildlife.

This country cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a full kitchen, a large sunroom, and can sleep 6 people (1 Queen bed, a twin trundle bed, a futon couch, a hideaway bed, and a couch). The home is 1100 square feet. It has a massive fireplace with built-in bookshelves. The bedroom walls do not go to the ceiling and noise may carry. A fan has been placed in the bedrooms to help with white noise. At this time there are no doors on the bedroom doors- coming soon. Curtains have been placed to help with privacy.

Enjoy the fire pit with s’mores and hot dogs. Take in nature while reading a book in the hammock. Listen to the water feature while relaxing outdoors. A dog fenced-in area is located in the front of the home. Wood is provided for the firepit. Please do not use the fireplace in the home.

Indoor and outdoor games have been provided for your family to enjoy.

Limited parking available. Any trailers, campers, RV's, wagons, extra large trucks, etc. must be approved ahead of time.

Whetstone Woods is located about 35-45 minutes north of Columbus. It is 3o minutes to Tanger Mall, 25 minutes from Snow Trails Ski resort, and 15 minutes to Mid Ohio Raceway. There are tons of local parks including Cedar Fork Park, Headwaters Outdoor Education Center (5904-5944 Home Rd ONLY 3 Miles FROM OUR FARM!), and our favorite- Mount Gilead State Park (4119 State Route 95- LOCATED 4 MILES from our farm).

Other things to do include Bunker's Mill Winery in Cardington, Mid-Ohio Balloon Adventures, Morrow Lanes Bowling Center, Splatter Park Paint Ball, Planet 14 (arcade), Tiger Den roller skating, and Sparks Fly LLC (private flights), antiquing in Mount Gilead, food, Capital Movie theatre, day spa, Ohio Bird sanctuary, Cote Winery, and more!

Mount Gilead Massage Therapy will come out to the Cabin to do a private treatment. Please contact them at least 1 week in advance at (419) 751-7100.

NO Smoking in the home. Please no vaping, illegal drugs, tobacco products, etc. If the home smells like smoke there will be a $500 fee.

Pets are welcome up to 25 pounds. No aggressive pets. Pets can not be left in the home alone for any reason unless crated. If your pet has an accident in the home there is a $150 cleaning fee. If you have a pet stay that isn’t stated during booking is a $200 fee.

Massage Therapy- Mount Gilead Massage Therapy will come out to the cottage to do a 60-90 minute deep tissue or sweetish massage. Relax in the privacy of the cottage while getting a destressing massage. They recommend booking 1-2 weeks in advance. Contact Mount Gilead Massage Therapy for more info.

Birthday Kid- Is it your kids extra special birthday? We can get balloons, streamers, banners, and a cupcake waiting for them to arrive. Imagine their surprise to open the door to excitement waiting for them on their special day! ($40).

Moody Teen basket- Got a Moody teen coming along? Trying to cheer them up? We can make up a gift basket to lift their spirits. Filled with candy, popcorn, snacks, drinks and more. ($25).

Late check out- Want to stay a little later? Need an extra nap before you go? Normal check out time is 11 am. Late check out is 1 pm ($50).
