Property was spacious and clean with all the kitchen appliances you need. Soft beds, extremely comfortable. Flatscreen TVs in every room, along with all the movie apps. Only a few minutes from downtown Deadwood, would recommend and stay at this property again in the future.
Clean & comfortable. Location was a little hard to find, but good directions were provided. The spiral staircase didn't work for the 70 year olds, but we adjusted.Cooling system worked well, as promised!
Daniel is a great host! Answered all of our questions promptly and offered great suggestions on the surrounding attractions. Cottage is very nicely decorated, exceptionally clean and perfect for families. Overstocked with towels and lines in case you need extra and very quiet stay. Location is perfect if you don’t want to be right in the mix of tourists without being too far out. 3 minute drive to downtown historic Deadwood. Walkable brewery around the corner. So much to do and so glad we booked with Daniel. We would absolutely love to stay at Spruce Tree again. The history behind this home is really fascinating too! Thank you for a very memorable time!
Great spacious home with comfy beds & lots of pillows & blankets! Access easy although house a bit tricky to find. There is a cool mural close by made it much easier. Great communication by owner. Loved the kitchen & family room. Perfect home for our girls’ vacation!!

This property was not the one I thought I had rented, it was too late to do any modifications, it was a big weekend in Lead and accommodation where had to come by. I really need to talk to a representative with Expedia and find out how this happened, my number is 402-741-0754 please reach out to me somehow, thank you Dan
Beautiful, charming, well-maintained property with the perfect location to walk downtown to all the fun historical sites, shops, and evening events. Looking forward to reserving a longer stay soon :)
We thought that there is a lot more you could do with the yard and the view of the town from the front of the house. The entrance to the property was not good. Not the best look when you arrive. The interior was really nice!
This is a very nice place to stay when visiting the sturgis deadwood and all the Black Hills. The house was very clean and had plenty of room. The host was very informative of all the places to see in South Dakota and had maps in the house for you too plan your day.
We had a great stay. The house was very clean. Great location for us for the sights we were going to see. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to get away
The house over all was clean and looked very nice on the inside. The AC in the house are 3 window units that could not keep up with the heat outside. It was in the 100s and during the day the lowest the house would get was 80 degrees. It did cool off at night and it was fine in the mornings. As far as location the house is a little hard to find but it’s very close to all the events in lead and deadwood. The host was very responsive when we had an issue and there were plenty of towels, pillows, and linen for us to use.
Lead is a special place. This was a three generation Fathers Day trip. My Father was born in Deadwood in 1936. My son and I took him to revisit his past one more time and this Home was the perfect combination of Lead history, location and charm!
Had a great stay in Lead. Good location and central to most everything we wanted to see. Just was very accommodating and quick to respond to any inquiries.
