About this property

Modern Home with Panoramic Views, Community Beach/Pool & Mid Island Location!

Admiral’s Seaglass Sanctuary is located in the center of the island so you can enjoy all Whidbey has to offer. Perfectly located for walk on ferry enthusiasts to Port Townsend, hikers, cyclists, historians, and those who enjoy bird watching or sea life. This back-beach house was designed to maximize the views of Puget Sound, so the living and bedroom areas are in the upper levels. Every one of the 3 bedrooms has it’s own unique views, and there are 2.5 baths. Seaglass offers tranquility in a revised vibe. You have access to a private neighborhood pool, a long walking beach surrounded by wildlife, sights of all types of ships in the Sound, Bald Eagles, The Cascade Mountains, Otters, and whales are known to come visit. ALL seen from just inside the home without binoculars. You are close to Fort Casey (perfect for a picnic and kite flying), and Ebey’s point. If you aren’t tired from exploring all of that, you can finish your evening in any of our wonderful towns. You can wake up in the morning enjoying the pond from the screened in porch or finish your evening enjoying an onsite fire pit. Endless options!!
Whidbey Island is also home of the Naval Air Station and you see military aircraft flying at low elevation. Occasionally on the weekdays (no weekends!), the Navy conducts jet training exercises and posts the training schedule in advance at cnic.navy.mil. Look for the Outlying Landing Field (OLF) in Coupeville. Our kids love seeing the planes up close as they fly overhead, however the jet noise will be loud. During these training times we recommend checking out the boundless adventures on the island or take a day trip to Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula by utilizing the ferry the just down the road. If you are at the house enjoying the sights we recommend utilizing the provided ear plugs or use the noise cancelling headphones while at the house

Seaglass awaits your visit! We are here to help with any questions or recommendations.

Well Appointed Whidbey Island Gem
This house was fantastic, even better than pictures could show. Communications with the manager were excellent. The house is very well appointed, had everything we needed and even games and beach gear! Looking forward to visiting again.

Great house, great location
Birds, dolphins and Navy jets, without even leaving the house! Very central location and easy to get to everything on the island. House was in great condition, as all seemed relatively new. Was exceptionally clean and had all the amenities you could want. A lot of nice touches, even a couple of bikes to use. Had one issue with the battery on the door lock, but the owner handled immediately. Community pool closed after Labor Day, so please keep that in mind. A couple of folding beach chairs would have been useful too. Highly recommend.

I love the Ocean and Mountains. Every year living here in the Pacific Northwest, I would always look forward to going on day trips, especially if we took a ferry. It feels like you are going somewhere far away. My husband, children, and dogs love hunting for the best rocks on the beach. Life can be very chaotic, we have been trying to enjoy the little things in life.

Why they chose this property

Our family always found ourselves taking annually day trips to Whidbey Island whether it was to go to the dog friendly beaches, the fun towns, scenic drive, or deception pass. When the opportunity presented itself, we looked for a while for the location that worked for us. Then Admiral Seaglass Sanctuary happened. Ironically, I saw the house before it went on the market from the road, and admired its Majestic Presence. .

When Seaglass went on the market, it felt like destiny. We consider ourselves lucky to have a place in the wonderful community of Admiral Cove. In the location we desired, near the Townsend Ferry, Fort Casey, the great town of Coupeville. I love Langley, but Coupeville has fun things to offer. My husband loves his long bike rides all around the island. I love exploring secret shopping finds. I will drive to the Spoiled Dog to get a great bottle of wine, and also head North towards Oak Harbor a few minutes to shop at Three Sister's Market to get some great goodies (pies, meat, and even decor). Every time we pay a visit to Seaglass, we say hello to our local Bald Eagles. They won't hide for long.
