This was a great location for sightseeing in Washington DC. It was a nice, quiet area with parking right in front of the house. The host was friendly and accommodating. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your cozy basement apartment!
We loved not being in the hustle and bustle of DC but not being too far away from everything. Communications with the host were quickly responded to. This place had all we needed to enjoy our get away. If and when we return, we will definitely stay here again!!
We stayed the weekend for magfest, it was in a nice location about 10 minutes from the convention hall in a quite area away from traffic. The host was excellent in making sure we had everything we needed and understood expectations with check in/check out and where linens were located as needed. Everything was great, couldn't have asked for a much better place to stay the weekend.
We had a very pleasant stay. It was easy to park and we had great access to the grocery, etc.
We enjoyed being able to bike and walk to lots of places. We would love to stay there again. The owner was always available and made certain all was well.
This suite was perfect for our stay in DC. Great location. Everything we needed was provided to make our stay comfortable. Host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. All the amenities are provided. If we ever come back to DC we would stay there again.
I so wish I could give this visit a 5/5…..the unit was perfect in every way and location was great, BUT the family who lived above had screaming, crying kids running overhead morning and night, so that was a bit frustrating
It was good, clean, a little dark and while the cooking option was available it would be difficult to actually cook and clean up, sink was really small.
Knowing that going in would make a difference I think. Would be nice to have some additional seating. Cleaning products used had a very strong smell that was a bit overpowering. Overall we would rate it very highly.
My Family and I (3 Adults and 2 school aged children) stayed here in our short stopped from NC before we headed back home to NYC! I was browsing in Vrbo debating if we will really stopped by in DC for a day or more? Then I saw this property, I quickly sent messages of few basic questions and the amazing Host Ryan was pretty prompt and quick on responding with my messages back and forth. He accommodated us with checking in early as we are arriving 3:30am and it was also affordable compared with one’s I saw with great property accommodation and amenities! I was able to cook good home cooking dinner and breakfast during our stay at the same time I was able to do laundry. This place is truly amazing for travelers. Love the swing! This place reminded me Of the little cottage I had back in Idaho also, love the quality from knifes down to paper towels! Mind you the property in NC, their paper towels, towels, utensils are cheap compared to the ones Ryan’s property has and the property is few minutes from Paris baqquette, Aldi, 711 and other stores, you can even walk. I would if I didn’t have small children. I highly will recommend this property to any of my friends who are planning in visiting DC in the future. I also would definitely come back here next trip my family will have. Ryan is really amazing Host and I am grateful for the amazing experience! Btw, love the collection of books, he has some of my fave authors, wish I had more time? I would have read someOf the books.

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in
I always go into a Vrbo experience expecting a 5-star experience. Let’s start with the positives. The property is in a great location. It is near a nice shopping plaza and 10-15 to Old Town and DC. The neighborhood is safe, and it is right down the street from a hospital and gas station. Communication was good before the stay, and we were able to get help when needed. Here is why this experience was not 5-stars. We were in town for a short stay to meet family and friends. We were given instructions for using the Nest lock, but the door would not budge. We were trying to figure out how to get in for about 30 minutes. The cleaners locked the door, which is why we were unable to get in. I understand mistakes happen, but I feel as though that would be something that is double-checked before guests arrive. The property was nothing spectacular to bring us back. The appearance of the yard was disappointing. The grass was overgrown, there were weeds lining the uneven cobblestone walkway, and the steps leading to the entrance were one wrong step away from an injury. The property can hold 4 guests, but it seems more appropriate for one or two persons at max. The bathroom is very small, the sleep sofa was uncomfortable and covered with stained sheets, and the bedroom itself was fairly cramped. Thankfully, we were not spending too much time in the property. There was only one roll of toilet paper provided for a party of three staying for two nights, so we bought our own
We were in town to visit our new grandson and the location was perfect. Very good communication with the owner and he provided everything we needed. We would love to stay here next time.
Rented 1 month for extended grandchildren visit from CA. Extremely clean, safe neighborhood. Especially loved enclosed patio area. Convenient shopping nearby. Easy to work remotely with strong internet & work space. Would highly recommend. Appreciated host staying in touch during stay.
Best weekend a father and son could have ever had!
My son is immunocompromised and upon receiving the house it was immaculate. The host couldn’t have been more hospitable, and inviting. Very attentive and eager to help with any question. Also the perfect distance to affordable metro parking that makes visiting DC convenient and economical. The living conditions were well above expectations with their recent upgrades. Overall, staying here made it possible that this father and son could have a weekend to remember.
If you’re looking for home away from home near DC, you’ve found it! We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were very hospitable, the apartment was clean & beautiful, the location was perfect.
