About this property

Modern Farmhouse on 240-acre Ranch

Enjoy a true Montanan experience! Come stay on a 240-acre family ranch that has been in our family for 3 generations. Tucked into the foothills of the Tobacco Root Mountains, the natural beauty, wildlife, and sunsets will give you a real taste of Montana. Incredibly peaceful and beautiful, and we regularly have moose, deer, and tons of birds visit the ranch. You can relax by one of the private streams, pet our horse, and watch the sunsets from your large private deck. Even though it feels secluded and private, we are only a 15 minute drive from Ennis Lake and the Madison River where you will find world-class fishing. The house is fully remodeled and updated; come find paradise in our modern farmhouse w/all the amenities. FIBER OPTIC WIFI MAKES THIS PLACE A WORK FROM HOME HEAVEN!

Beautiful Home Base
This was a great home base to go exploring the surrounding area. Yellowstone was only an hour away. We went fly fishing on the Madison River. Visited Virginia City. The farm itself had a running brook, horses, deer, etc and stunning Mountain View’s.

Amazing Ranch Experience
Nothing about this place could have been better from our perspective! Our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids age 4 and 11), and our dog stayed here for almost a week. The house was spotless, the beds super comfortable. The kitchen was well very well stocked (even coffee) and there was a nice BBQ we used a couple times. Sitting on the deck in the morning and evening was unbelievable. We saw moose and deer daily, as well as the friendly horses who live there. There is National Forest access just a short drive up the road, and its reasonably close to Ennis (20 minutes) where there is a nice grocery store and some good restaurants. There's also a great restaurant right in McAllister- the McAllister Inn, which is even closer. We also did one day in Yellowstone from here, which was a long-ish drive, but we were able to leave around 8:00am, make it to YS for the entire Grand Loop drive including several stops, and were back home at the ranch by around 7pm, which was just perfect for us. Lastly, Audrey, the host, could not have been better. The communication was just perfect, and she even helped us track down a can of bear spray to borrow for some hiking we did up in the National Forest, and her brother in law who works around the property set up a picnic table for us by the creek just because he though we'd enjoy it. If you are interested in authentic Montana ranch experience, don't hesitate, book this place! We will 100% be back.

The place is nice, the owners are nicer
Cool location. Great to see chickens, goats, and horses. House is clean, cool, and nice. Very comfy. Audrey (the owner) is even better. She gave us fresh eggs and found life jackets for kayaking. Excellent host.

Great comfortable Location for exploring NW Montana
This is a great farmhouse. Plenty large and comfortable. There isn't AC but good circulation when you open a couple windows. The Host Family is great and is also on the property to address any concerns, but we didn't have any. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed home. This was our Basecamp while we explored the area for 4 days. The host offered to let our little ones play with the goats which was a nice touch. We will definitely stay again.
