Walking around the property is amazing for nature-loving people: plants, insects, and wild life flourish here. The cabin porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening reflections. A lot of cool, unique places are anywhere between Lake Lure to Marion. The checkin and checkout process was very easy and all basic items were available. We would stay here again!
Everything was perfect! It was rainy but the the cabin was equipped with games. The cabin was was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. The appliances were in excellent conditon. The beds were very comfortable. The decks were wonderful for sitting outside, even with the rain. Highly recommend this little piece of heaven. We will definitely be back!
Lovely stay in the mountains near Lake Lure! With only four reviews and an amazing nightly rate, I thought this rental was too good to be true, but it’s exactly as the listing shows. It was very clean with all amenities you would need. The kitchen is fully equipped. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner. The cabin itself is small, but very spacious. It sleeps 6 and I would say that’s comfortably. We’d be very happy to stay here again.
My friend and I do an annual MLK weekend trip because we always get busy throughout the year so that is our weekend to catch up!! This year we went to this beautiful cabin in Lake Lure! It was quiet for the most part… we got a visit from a squirrel on the roof we believe late Saturday night!! It was a very cozy cabin and we had a great time relaxing and catching up! Watched a few DVDs … we will be back!!
Pictures were very accurate. We had a nice stay. The only reason for the 4 star rating vs 5 star was that the front yard had not been mowed in what appeared to be weeks. Grass and weeds were high and made the cabin look run down along with the threat of poison ivy or ticks being present Once inside everything was nice and clean. Everything we needed with exception of dish soap was present. They had spices and coffee and tea in the kitchen if you needed (we did not use any).
The trip getting to the cabin was great no issues. We did have a problem trying to get TV reception and was unable to regulate the thermostat we stay really cold and was not able to turn off the air, but no problem the fireplace was great. Consider blinds for the entry door it was a little uneasy knowing there was full view from the outside. All in all, wonderful will return again. Ronald and Phyllis
The house is beautiful, inside and out. The porch is amazing, we enjoyed cool mornings in the adirondack chairs and late nights in front of the electric fireplace in the bedroom. The wifi signal seems strong, but streaming services were very hit or miss. At times we were able to watch Netflix but other times it just buffered and froze every few seconds. The house needs some minor handyman work (ex. kitchen sink seal is bad and the sink is dropping down from the countertop), but overall it was stocked with everything necessary to cook and clean minus some kitchen hand towels for drying. The location was also good, we were only about 15-20 minutes from groceries, restaurants, activities, etc. Enjoyed our stay here and would stay again!
We loved this super cozy cabin. The owner is very responsive to questions and very cordial. The place is super clean and stocked with toiletries and towels. There is a washer/dryer unit in the first-floor bathroom that is super convenient. There are a bunch of games in the loft that the kids enjoyed! If you're looking for a getaway and to become one with nature, this is the place for you. We give it 5+ stars! Would definitely stay here again! (Sidenote: The water is really good...so much fresher than this city water in Charlotte!)
We all loved the remote location. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen perfect for cooking several meals. We played cards and guitar and had a wonderful time.
The cabin was very clean and so much fun. The scenery around the cabin was beautiful. And we went into Black Mountain for some great German Food one evening.
Thank you for the wonderful time.
