The property was very quiet and enjoyable to stay at. The attention to detail throughout the house added lots of charm, we will definitely be staying here the next time we are in the area!
Absolutely amazing! Very clean, peaceful, relaxingand had everything we needed!
Such a great place I want to go back with the rest of my family so they can experience this house and the absolute tranquility and beauty of the whole area!
My sibs and my 97 year old mom came for a family reunion and the house was perfect. It was by far the best stocked house any if us have ever stayed in. The communication with the owner was quick and kind. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay! The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, bathrooms were updated and great! The only thing we weren't thrilled about was the gravel roads to get to the house. The recommendation to eat at The Drift was amazing.
Absolutely perfect home for my sisters and cousin. We all grew up part of our childhood on a farm, and the experience was just what we needed.
Great communication, easy to find, very well stocked and organized.
This farmhouse was beautiful! Had everything needed and so much room to enjoy our time inside as well as out. Meg was responsive to questions and our overall experience was excellent. Will stay again if in the area. Thank you so much.
The farmhouse is beautiful, fully equipped! Everything you could need, plus more, just bring your clothes and food. Comfortable beds, beautifully decorated, felt like home away from home. Love the surroundings, felt secluded yet it was a short drive to Winterset. Our family will most definitely say here again!
World class in every aspect. Very comfortable, extremely well provisioned, fantastic views, close to historical bridges, super maintained and spotless, etc. Even sat on the porch very peacefully hearing the cows mooing!
Maybe the cleanest VRBO we have been to. Very quiet property where you can enjoy the sounds of nature. Close enough to town to go grab a few things. Charm of an old farm home. Parking seemed odd for a farmstead, with no driveway. If we want a VRBO in this part of the state we will stay here again.
Our stay at the farm exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfectly prepared by our host, Meg.We were able to step back in time and experience life on a Iowa farm. So relaxing and beautiful. We would definitely do this again. Our family will treasure this time together in Winterset. Thank You, The Lamberson fsmily
This was a beautifully restored and maintained farmhouse that could have been a model home. Attention to detail was evident everywhere. The house was exceptionally clean, well equipped, and had every amenity we needed throughout our stay. The welcome book was thorough, very informative, and gave us some good some good ideas for restaurants to try. I would highly recommend this farmhouse to anyone looking for a quiet country getaway.
This was a wonderful place to stay while we were in Winterset to attend a family reunion!! It’s a beautiful old farm home that has been loved and cared for over the years. So much character!! It’s very clean & comfortable. The owners have really tried to cover all bases with all the comforts of home..comfy beds, wonderful updated baths & plush towels. Beautiful covered patio to sit, relax and enjoy the sounds and beauty of nature. This is a top notch home and I would highly recommend it… you’ll love your stay!
This was a great place to stay during graduation weekend. Lots of space for four adults to get ready, a relaxing porch, and close proximity to our Van Meter family.
The only hitch was our arrival. It was dark and we had a difficult time finding where to enter the property. Maybe a little more outside lighting would help.
Other than that is was everything we expected!
The farmhouse was cozy and relaxing to stay at. I can’t think of one thing that the host did not have covered. You can tell this property was important to them and they have done an excellent job with upkeep. The only thing I did bump down was the location because unfortunately it is located on a gravel road. And with the lack of rainfall, it was extremely dusty- too dusty to enjoy the front porch.
Otherwise we enjoyed our time together at the Farmhouse very much! Thanks!
We enjoyed our stay and the farmhouse. Everything in great shapeThe only negative was dust from the road. It is terribly dry in Iowa right now and farmers are combining so dust was badWe would definitely return!
We greatly enjoyed our stay. Very clean and safe. Host was amazing. We didn’t need a thing but communication leading up was great! Everything was easy!
