About this space
Welcome to Mountain Modern Base Camp where you can enjoy the solitude of nature while being a short drive to limitless activities. Private 7+ acre property provides an outdoor fireplace, full court pickleball & basketball court, creek to enjoy (w/a small waterfall), firepit w/ Mtn. View’s + hot tub. 30' ceilings w/large windows in the main living areas & loft. Kitchen, living areas, loft, patios & woods are set up perfectly for everyone to have their own space or be together during your stay.
The space
The definition of base camp is "a staging area used by mountaineers to prepare for a climb" Here you can literally climb a mountain across the street or set out on a short drive to countless hikes/bikes in NC/SC. The idyllic small mountain towns of Tryon, NC and Landrum, SC are less than 15 mins away. Travelers Rest or Greer, SC (dining, breweries, swamp rabbit trail) and Saluda are 25 min drives (Gorge Zipline, Whitewater rafting), Flat Rock, NC & Hendersonville, NC are 30 mins away & Greenville, SC is 40 mins away.
The nearby towns/hikes have so much to offer. However, once you arrive you may not want to leave this modern cabin. There are fireplaces inside and outside, a 75" TV in the living room, a TV on the patio, and smart TV's in all the rooms to enjoy games and/or movies.
The 7+ acres provides trails that take you to the 2 creeks, a small waterfall and boulders. By the waterfall or in many other spots you can relax with one of the provided eno hammocks. Entertain in the kitchen, grill out or roast smore's up at the fire pit while taking in the surrounding mountains (or on the covered patio's fireplace).
Added June 2021 - full court sport court (pickleball & basketball) on side yard to watch the game from all rooms of the house & the front patio.
Your stay can be whatever you are looking for...... a private mountain getaway in a unique modern cabin or a jump off point for your hiking/biking/city explorations.
Added June 2022 - accessory dwelling unit that is detached from the home and fully finished with HVAC & windows all around to match the cabin. Can be used as a perfect separate work space away from all the fun/noise if you need one during your stay or just another great spot to step away for some R&R.
