When Massimiliano Felici, said Max, arrived in Sainte Marie in 1993, the telephone did not yet exist, the roads were tracks in the middle of nature. There were few houses, a bank and a post office.
His first “Diving center” in Madagascar was born on a green pearl in the blue of the Indian Ocean. With his first boat, a piece of hand painted wood, he began to explore the seabed, to discover the wrecks, the banks off the coast and the splendid reef that surrounds it. But above all it was his first encounter with the MEGAPTERA and he started whale watching in Madagascar with other very rare operators. Since then, he knows cetaceans, their secrets and the best way to observe them.
Active participant in scientific missions for the protection and knowledge of whales, he became a member of the association MEGAPTERA for the guardianship of the coral reef of Sainte Marie Island, as well as the current marine park of the Masoala peninsula. He participated in the production of various documentaries on the seabed of Madagascar, on the whale watching and on the discovery of two historic wrecks: the Galleon «Adventure Galley» of the pirate William Kidd, and the frigate «Seraphis», the oldest American warship.
Currently he lives in Ankazoberavina and is in charge of the management of the park of the island, and participates in a project to save the sea turtles, in partnership with the association WCS (Wild Conservation Society) and he is ready to make you discover all the sites of diving of Nosy Be and its surroundings. To make you meet the megaptera, the whale shark, the baloneoptera minor, the dolphins. And take you on a cruise to unspoilt places.
