Independence Mine State Historical Park, an incredibly scenic drive up to where you can explore the history of the Alaska gold rush along with incredible views of the valley (19 miles away). Outstanding house!

The best property we stayed in Alaska! The house exceeded our expectations. The standard of the interior finishes and furniture are very high compared to usual rentals and all amenities were included. Highly recommended for a stay!

The Amazing Eagles Perch

My wife and I travel quite a bit and “Eagles Perch” is definitely in the top three of the best places we’ve ever stayed…..ANYWHERE!! The owners (Tonja and her husband) are amazing and will do anything they can do to make your stay a very memorable experience. Put this place on your bucket list.

Wonderful!

We chose this property to serve as the base for our elopement and it was absolutely perfect. The home was clean and well-appointed and served as a gorgeous backdrop for photos both before and after the ceremony. We were even able to have a helicopter pick us up and drop us off at the property. Tonja, the owner, was very responsive and easy to work with throughout. Highly recommend and would absolutely book this property again!

Amazing stay!

Wow! We have visited many VRBOs and this is by far the most beautiful, well appointed home with amazing views. The interior design, furnishings and decorations should be featured in a magazine. I could live in their home full time! We decided on a stop in Palmer, AK to do a full day ATV tour to the Knik Glacier. After seeing this home listed, we decided on a 3 night stay… wish it was longer. Our stay in this home was the highlight of our trip to Alaska.

Perfect!

The house was absolutely perfect! Snow covered mountains from every window. Bathroom and kitchen were very nicely appointed. Comfortable beds. Everything you need. Hosts were spectacular, offering some wonderful suggestions for sightseeing. We were even picked up by a helicopter for a glacier walk right from the house. Amazing!! Can't recommend enough.

This place was absolutely beautiful! Coffee and filtered water machine were awesome! The view was my favorite but the heated towel rack came in a close second 😊 We missed the first night do to a flight cancelation, I wish we could have worked on getting an extra day or part of the money for that day back but I understand from both ways. Overall she was a great host and it was so clean and peaceful! Would highly recommend

Breathtaking views meets luxury living

Our stay at this VRBO was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the panoramic mountain views—truly some of the most breathtaking scenery we've ever experienced. Whether sipping coffee on the deck or watching the sky change colors in the evening, the backdrop was straight out of a postcard. The home itself was immaculate and modern, with every detail thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience. Heated floors and a towel warming rack were luxurious touches that made a big difference, especially after long days of adventuring in the Alaskan chill. The space was spotless, stylish, and fully equipped with everything our family needed—from a well-stocked kitchen to cozy bedrooms and plenty of room to relax. It was clear that the hosts take great pride in this home. The attention to detail, cleanliness, and hospitality were all top-notch. It truly felt like a home away from home. We’ve stayed in many rentals over the years, and this one easily ranks among the best. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and unforgettable Alaskan escape.

Why they chose this property

This property is located adjacent to our home. We found the lot that our home sits on and knew we must have it and so when the lot next door became available we purchased it with the intent to build a luxury short term rental on it.
The views are incredible and the location is ideal. We are situated in the heart of the valley just 45 minutes north of Anchorage International Airport. We are 15 minutes to popular Hatcher Pass Recreation area and directly in between Palmer and Wasilla.

What makes this property unique

Built with comfort and ease in mind, this property will certainly wow you! Perfect for the newly wed, executive, or couples retreat, this new constructed suite is one of a kind!
You will find high-end finishes in every room you enter such as a deluxe floor-to-ceiling fireplace, massive vaulted cedar ceiling with awesome beams, custom fine furnishings, and a luxurious bathroom built for two, to name a few.
We also have a large tree at the corner of the building that the eagles like to come perch in on occasion, and they are so fun to watch and listen to!
