About this property

Cute cottage right on the water! Enjoy the large deck and recently updated home with your family and friends! Recent updates include new beds and bedding, new AC, couches, flooring and lighting throughout.

One bedroom is fitted with a semi-firm queen bed, while the second is fitted with a more plush full size bed. Both bedrooms are small but functional. The pullout couch in the living room is a queen size bed, and the loft boasts a perfect space for kids or adults in a pinch. Home sleeps seven on beds and couches!

We currently do not offer internet because the only service available is inconsistent, rather than offer internet with potential letdowns, we choose not to offer it, for now.

Atop the large staircase is plenty of off street parking on a quiet lake drive. For the 2022 season we have a 30' aluminum dock, so bring your boat if you have one! Complimentary water vessel includes a paddle boat!

Bring your fishing gear because you can fish right from the deck!

1 small dog that is less than 20 pounds is allowed. Please understand that we have family members that are allergic to dogs and your pet is not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture. Thank you for your understanding.

Weekend at the drag strip

We needed a place to stay for a weekend at the drag strip. The house was perfect for relaxing and sleeping. It was a cold rainy weekend so we did not get to enjoy the lake much.

Relaxing stay

The house and deck were very nice. We could fish right off the deck or the dock. The lake is very calm and fairly quiet. You can hear some neighbors which we stayed during the week. The stairs to get up and down from the car to the house are a lot of steps but they're not steep. We were able to text but not more than that.

Great place to unplug

We loved how this house had a kids loft. Our daughter and cousins were up and down the ladder constantly. The beds were comfortable and cozy, nice after a long day. We made use of the washer and dryer. The kids DVD selection was wonderful, my daughter even found a couple favorites. We packed the refrigerator with groceries and still had room to spare. I wish there was more cabinets, though we made use of them. The campfire put was perfect for s'mores and fires, I would suggest bringing wood along. My daughter and her cousins enjoyed the paddle boat and the paddle board (this was an extra $25). My dog loved being with his family and we want to thank the owners for allowing our sweet boy to come with us.

Perfect way to unplug

Love this property! It is on a beautiful lake. No wifi and tiny bar of cell service is really nice if you are trying to get your face out of a screen. It is a quick drive from our home, making it a nice little "staycation." Paddleboat and kayaks are available for use. It was a really peaceful lake up until Saturday night, where the neighbors started to party pretty loudly. They invited us over for drinks, which we reluctantly declined due to being in recovery, so we were able to watch a DVD movie instead. If you're into that sort of thing, they are really nice people, and I'm sure they would be lots of fun. The lake is about five minutes away from the casino, so we were able to eat at the buffet there, which was really noce.

Why they chose this property

It is hard to find a property offering so much on a budget. There is a huge beautiful deck that literally makes you feel like you are on the water. There is a grill, a fire pit, a paddle boat, kayaks, lots of patio furniture, and a warm lake to enjoy.

What makes this property unique

It is hard to imagine that you might want to leave the property and tour the area, but there is lot to do in the area. You are just 10 minutes from Golfing, Gun Lake and the Gun Lake Casino. You are just 30 minutes of Lake Michigan, Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo. Enjoy all the area has to offer. There are award winning beaches on the Lakeshore (Oval Beach), world renown breweries in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. Frederick Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, and Hiking at Saugatuck Dunes State Park and at Yankee Springs.
