Cozy, well-stocked property in charming area of Vermont!
We've stayed several places in Vermont, and this was by far our favorite. The home was spacious, yet cozy and was well stocked with all the comforts one would look for on vacation. In addition, the homeowner was extremely helpful. We can't wait to go back!

Ski Weekend
First time at Josh's property and it certainly met our expectations. The setting was clean and cozy. Great amenities, comfortable beds (kids loved the bunk beds) and towels, and very close to Mount Snow. Josh is very friendly, and communicative. His dining recommendations were also great and helpful. We will certainly be back.

Hi! I am Josh. I love travel, food, and meeting people. I split time between Boston and Vermont. I bought this home in Vermont because I absolutely fell in love with the area - the community, the nature, the food...everything. I opened the guest house to renters because I want to help people discover this lovely area.

Why they chose this property

Wilmington is just the perfect little town and we were looking for a home here. It has true year-round appeal. The summers are stunning...the lakes are great for swimming and renting boats, plus the local produce is at its peak. The fall is iconic...with the foliage and leaf peeping in full swing, it's a gorgeous tapestry of colors. And the winter is magical, with snow covered trees, fireplaces crackling, and lots of skiing and cozy blankets. The people are friendly and welcoming. The restaurants are delicious, emphasizing local ingredients (and local beer!).

The property itself really spoke to me. Two cozy cottages on 2+ acres of land. It was exactly what I was looking for - the perfect place to get away and relax, and to host friends and family. I couldn't resist it.

What makes this property unique

I am not one of these big companies that buys up houses just to rent them out. This is my only rental property and it is the guest house. Rather than buy everything at IKEA and Amazon I spent time working with local creators and shopkeepers and picked everything out by hand. Much of what you'll find in the house was made in Vermont by local artisans. A lot of it was purchased from shop owners in VT and MA. Buying locally and sustainably is very important to me and I believe the house has a much homier feel as a result. The throw blankets are made from Vermont wool, the beds are made from Vermont wood.

The house is situated at the base of Haystack mountain which offers rich views. On our property we have incredible vegetation, including wild blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, apples, cherries, and asparagus. We get visits from deer, birds, and other local critters. It is truly the mountain life. It's a paradise of fresh air. Pour a drink, have a fire, and you'll see what I mean!
