Location, location, location

This property is ideally located to walk into town (where there are lots of dining options), or to walk to the ocean (about 10-15 min). Dave is responsive to questions. Overall a great choice!

30 day stay

The apartment was very well equipped and better stocked with things I didn't expect like cooking spices and oils, toiletries, and every cooking, serving, and utensil you could possibly need. Location is within walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants, transportation, and sunset views. Lighting could be a little better is my only recommendation. Patio is nice and the neighbors are quiet. It's perfect for a single person or a couple.

Really was the perfect Encinitas Hideaway!

Dave was an excellent host! Easy to communicate with & quick to reply to any questions. Easy self check-in & out. Exceptionally clean!! Loved the beachy decor. Nice large bedroom. Lots of storage throughout. The kitchen was beautiful, with everything you need. (Loved the new fridge). Thank you Dave!

Unbearable upstairs noise

Traveled to Encinitas for a temporary RN assignment. Initially booked for 1 month. The place is as pictured, clean, well stocked and good location. All was fine until the upstairs rental was booked. Due to my schedule I am a day sleeper which was discussed prior to booking. The owner explained what was above me and that he had not had any complaints so I felt confident in booking. Unfortunately you can literally hear every step, drawer close, toilet flush, conversation, washer/dryer etc. I tried everything I could to make it work but to no avail. I left 12 days early because it was unbearable. I own a lower level condo and know what it's like to live underneath someone. This was like nothing I have experienced. I asked the owner if we could negotiate some sort of refund which he declined unless he could rent out the remaining days. The calendar on VRBO was never reopened showing availability so I was out of luck. I was hoping for some understanding. As an ICU nurse I can't work on no sleep. It also didn't help that I had to wait over 3 weeks to get my deposit back since I had to find new housing. So in conclusion if you have a normal schedule this place will be fine. Unfortunately for me it wasn't the greatest experience.

Great stay!

David’s place was just as it looked in the pictures and he was a very accommodating host. Would absolutely stay again and would recommend for anyone looking for a nice place to stay within walking distance of all that Encinatas has to offer!
