About this property

Big Horn Hideaway - 12 miles from YNP | Sun Room | New Remodel

Big Horn Hideaway is a beautiful NEWLY REMODELED 6 bedroom 4 bathroom cabin. The new remodel has extended the use of the home to a beautiful bonus area in the garage which features a kitchen and game area. Located just 15 minutes to Yellowstone National Park, this beautiful getaway is very convenient for traveling into the park but also enjoying everything Island Park has to offer, such as world class fishing at Henry’s Lake, golfing, restaurants and hiking.

The bottom floor features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a mud room, and a secondary living room for the family to gather together for games or a movie. At ground level, you also have access to a four car garage, ping pong table and corn hole.

The top floor of the cabin features a total of three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The two smaller bedrooms share a bathroom, and the beautiful master bedroom has its own attached bathroom with a walk-in shower and a tub. Attached to the master bathroom and living room is the sunroom that is perfect for relaxing in the sunshine while you read a good book. The top level also provides a full size kitchen built for cooking for the entire family and a large living room where everyone can gather.

Located in the detached garage is a newly added "Man Cave" that is perfect for sneaking off after the kids are asleep and enjoying a drink while streaming your favorite events or for entertaining the kids on those relaxing vacation days. Equipped with three TV's, an Xbox, a half kitchen with a bar and four stools, a foosball table, lounge area and 2 futons, this is the perfect place for countless hours of entertainment and making memories.

The amenities at Big Horn Hideaway include ping pong table, a newly-remodeled kitchen, coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, basic kitchen utensils, dishware, blender, rice maker, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer, fans, smart TVs, board games, pack and play, high chair, heat, fireplace, free WiFi and garbage haul off.

The cabin is very conveniently located off HWY 20 with ATV and snowmobile trail access from the cabin. 4 wheel drive vehicles are recommended because the neighborhood roads often have snow on them. If your group is interested in exploring some of the trails in the area and you're in need of some machine rentals, we partner with several local rental companies and some of them can deliver the machines directly to your rental cabin.

Don’t forget to visit Yellowstone National Park during your mountain vacation. With over 500 active geysers, 290 waterfalls, 10,000 thermal features, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful scenery it is a must see while on your vacation. Some of our favorite sights in the park are Old Faithful, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, and Firehole River Swim Area.

For those who want a longer day trip to the park, Grand Teton National Park, is a 2 and a half hour scenic drive from the West Entrance of Yellowstone through the South Entrance into Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

No smoking. No pets.

Guests will need their own transportation in order to get to the cabin, stores, restaurants, and Yellowstone National Park as there are no public transportation or ride share services available in the area.

Absolutely Fantastic
Big Horn Hideaway is by far the best property I have stayed at in the West Yellowstone area. The home is close enough to the park that is convenient while being far enough away that you aren’t bothered by the crowds. The house is spacious and well appointed. The kitchen is fantastic, with everything one would need to cook for their family. Brennyn was incredibly quick with responses and super helpful with everything.

Quiet and peaceful
We had an amazing time visiting Yellowstone. The drive back and forth from the park was quite short and the scenery around the cabin was beautiful. Everything in the cabin worked as it should. And the one call I made for a request was completed within the hour. Absolutely brilliant customer service.

Our family lives in Island Park year round and we love it. The area offers so many activities and sights. We spend as much time as we can hiking, biking, and canoeing to amazing fishing locations and sights few people will ever see. In Yellowstone National Park, I was fishing in the Maddison River (standing right in the middle) when 35- 40 Buffalo appeared on the edge of the river and started crossing down stream from me. Admittedly, I was a bit nervous, but my family was on shore letting me know the direction the Buffalo were going so I could move to a safe location. In Yellowstone we have seen Grizzly, Majestic Bull Elk, Wolf, Fox, Moose, and caught a huge Cutthroat Trout (photo included) on Yellowstone Lake near Grant's village. We also snowmobile and motorcycle, which allows us to see even more of the wonderful area. It is surprising the amount of wildlife in the area during all seasons of the year. Last year my son and I were snowmobiling across mountain peaks overlooking Henry's lake when a moose and her calf crossed the same peak. We stopped our machines to watch and give these animals some space. We were amazed at the ease these magnificent animals moved through four feet deep snow. We had this same experience with a herd of Elk. Last week I came across a weasel in its beautiful white winter coat, with just a little black tipped tail, which helped me keep track of it. The weasel seemed to be asking me to pause from the days activities and just watch it play in the snow, which I did. Two years ago while fishing in a canoe at dusk, my family, watched as some swans landed close to us. The orange and red setting sun made their wings and the water glow as they circled and landed, it was the kind of sight that stirs the emotions and reminds us there is a Supreme Creator that has a love for beauty. Let us help you capture the beauty of this amazing place while you vacation here.

What makes this property unique

The cabin backs up to Forest service property which provides the opportunity to have wildlife wander right into the yard. It is common to have deer just a few feet off the back patio. This amazing property also has a huge garage for all your gear and outdoor toys. There is also an excellent aluminum ping pong table in the garage for your enjoyment.
