Newly updated unit w/ AC. Historic plantation-era Hawaiian style right by the ocean. Very romantic and relaxed place, great for your next Ohana getaway, for honeymooners, and anyone who wants to enjoy the Garden Island of Kauai. You will find just about everything that you need here to make you feel at home. Condo unit #431, building 41 (Top-floor, far left).

•WALKING DISTANCE TO/FROM THE BEACH• The Kiahuna Plantation is the only beachfront condominium resort on the entire south shore. Here you can WALK to the sand! Surf, snorkel, play in the waves. This resort is located on the south shore of Kauai which is the SUNNY side of the island and receives more sunshine and nice weather than any other part of the island.

•AIR CONDITIONING UNIT• Not all condos have an A/C in the unit, but ours does! Of course, if you want to enjoy the fresh Hawaii air, feel free to turn off the AC, open up the sliding glass door, and enjoy the nice cool breeze.

•FEEL AT HOME• Vaulted ceilings, plantation shutters, and a nice tropical vacation vibe. Watch TV from the comfortable couch on the flatscreen and enjoy the free Wi-Fi access. Our unit includes all kitchen amenities that you may need, complete with full-sized appliances. The four-person dining table is the perfect spot for family meals or fun board games. Out on the private lanai, you can dine at another four-person table or settle in with a good book on one of the two loungers.

•GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP• The Bedroom has a comfortable king-sized bed to ensure a comfortable night’s rest. The living room couch can also be converted and used as a queen sleeper sofa.

•TOP-FLOOR, CORNER UNIT• You will have the benefit of having the most privacy in this building without having to hear people walking by the entrance door or above you. You will also enjoy the garden view from your private lanai and a partial view of the ocean.

•POIPU ATHLETIC CLUB EXCLUSIVE ACCESS• Pool w/water slide, sandy bottom pool for kids, fitness gym and classes, tennis and basketball courts, full cardio & weight room. Cabana Bar & Grill with poolside service.

•BEACH AMENITIES• Snorkels, body boards, floaters, beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach bag, cooler for our guests to use. There are also surfing lessons and rentals that are available right by the beach.

•COMPOUND AMENITIES• BBQ grill, free parking, EV charging station, laundry machines that accept credit cards, ApplePay, and coins.

•ACTIVITY RECOMMENDATIONS• We have lists of great recommendations for restaurants, island activities, and a bunch of things to-do and where to-go.

Start your day off with a cup of coffee from Little Fish Coffee just across the street or enjoy a cold-pressed juice from Kauai Juice Co or a Starbucks coffee at Poipu Shopping Village. From there, you’ve got restaurants, a general store, clothing stores, and more.

Beach? You’re in luck! You are just a few minutes’ walk away from Kiahuna beach or a minute drive away from one of the best beaches out there, Poipu beach. Bring the snorkels, chairs, and umbrella that are in the unit for our guests to use.

Amenities? Pool, gym, fitness center, tennis and basketball courts, and more are available exclusively for our guests to use and they are all just right across the street. On-site grills are also available for BBQ–there’s one right by the building. An on-site laundry facility is also available that accepts credit card, cash, or Apple pay.

Our Month on Kauai

The apartment was perfect for me and my husband. Well appointed with all that we could need as vacationers on Kaua'i, and well located for the many things we enjoy from just sitting by the pool or beach to the health club, tennis, pickleball and hanging out with new friends. Owners we always accommodating. I would suggest a guest book in order to see the thoughts of others and add our own. Mahalo, Barbara + Robert

All the beach gear was a huge plus. The near new appliances were a nice upgrade. The owner did an excellent job communicating, very quick responses and concisely. The unit was very clean as well. The property is older, probably from the 70's. So floor plan is dated but usable. The bed was very comfortable. Overall a nice unit. Heed the warning about nature's noise makers, lots of chatter at sunrise and sunset.

I was really excited to stay here based on the previous reviews I had read about the amenities and how previous families had been welcomed with baskets of local goods and wine. When we arrived it was obvious that the place is a little worn down. We learned we had to pay extra for clean towels which arrived dirty, there was no welcome basket, not even coffee, tea, or basic seasoning for cooking. We found a ziploc bag that looked like the previous tenants had left with some salt and pepper packs with weird coffee filters. The batteries in the tv remote were corroded and we couldn’t use the tv to put something on. We had to clean our own place, or pay an additional fee on top of the fee we were told we had to pay to clean when we left. I was really excited to stay here. It was pretty disappointing because it felt worn down and forgotten about. I am not someone to complain, and maybe these are minor things, but honestly for the money being spent, it felt like it was really lacking on basic supplies for those looking for a place to feel at home away from home. Maybe it’s a sign of the times.

Beach-chic condo in excellent Poipu location

This property was just perfect for our stay as a couple on an anniversary trip. We've never stayed in the Poipu area before, and we wanted to give it a try. The condo is part of a large resort property with beautiful grounds. It was great to be able to walk about 5 minutes out your door and be at the water, or drive about 2 minutes away to the world-famous Poipu Beach. The condo is well-equipped with everything we needed including all kitchen tools. The bed was comfy and there were great storage and nice dressers and closets to unpack and make yourself at home. The unit has been upgraded and styled in a mid-century (yet still beachy) style. We loved the fun touches of a surfboard, a hanging chair and the record player with class Hawaiian music LPs to spin. All the furnishings were clean and comfortable. Visitors should note that it is a third-floor walk-up, but this wasn't a problem for us. And it was nice to have very easy parking right in front of the building. Due to the design of these units, they are not tightly sound proof and you can hear sounds from outside and other units. We loved getting to walk across the street to the gem of a local coffee shop where we enjoyed some of the best coffee and acai bowls on the island. We also ate at the Beach Club, but didn't have time to try out gym or pool. We got our steps tackling the incredible Na Pali Coast Trail hike in Northwest Kauai. This was the perfect lodging for our too-short stay in Kauai!
