Don’t Believe The Reviews On Here
We booked our weekend trip to st Augustine months ago for my partner and a friend of ours to enjoy the city and attend a wedding while here. We were charmed when we see the photos for this listing and saw that it didn’t have an outrageous price listing. As it got closer to the date we saw some negative reviews pop up for the listing and got concerned and thought about cancelling. Before I did though I reached out to the property manager and asked them about the reviews. The property manager put my mind at ease and was able to send over 100 positive reviews on different site that made our group feel more confident about keeping this listing for the weekend. There were some pros and cons. The parking I will say like the other listings mentioned is not the best. The neighborhood doesn’t look the safest and to park my car near the street instead of inside the gated area did confuse me and make me a little uneasy. It seems they have neighbors or other tenants in other part of the home that they reserve the parking for inside the gated area. But to be honest there is so much space in the gated area and the neighbor or tenant only had one car that we could see there was definitely room to fit another car. The other con is that you will legit be right next to the train and train tracks and the train will go by multiple times in the night. Shaking the loft, screeching sounds of metal, and the blowing of the horn as it passed by. It woke me up 5 times the first night. However this place has a lot of charm and I can tell the property managers really do put a lot of effort to make sure that you and your party feel welcome. Some pros are they had a binder with local activities and just guidelines which was helpful, two doors that lock that provides more security, beautifully furnished with cute touches like writing my name on the chalkboard welcoming my party, candies, and water already filtered for us. They can’t control the train but they are aware and did provide ear plus for those who want them for the night. I personally don’t like sticking things like that in my ear and would suggest ear muffs if you want to muffle the train but them thinking ahead to solve the issue was noticed and appreciated. Also you will be 7 mins away from downtown and the tourist spots most people will want to see while here. I think if they just figured out how they can get cars in the gated area they would have gotten 5 stars from me.Overall cute, thoughtful, and convenient.

Too scared to stay
Well let's see our first mistake was not getting the address when we booked it. We asked for the address ahead of time but they wouldn't give it to us when we first asked. We now know why, it's in the middle of the hood. They assured us there was parking for two vehicles but when we pulled up, the parking was between a retaining wall and the sidewalk. We didn't feel comfortable parking our car there being we saw numerous homeless people riding their bikes on the sidewalk. We figured if we parked there our car would definitely have damage in the morning. We had problems getting in the front door with the directions given. The door to the loft we were supposed to be staying in had a lock on it that my 4 year old grandson could break to get in. The carpet on the stairs was dirty. The TV's didn't get any local channels. The toilet seat was so loose if someone was to sit on it they would of fell off.

Overall Rating
I normally don’t leave a review, but I will this time. As I arrived at the location first impression was the neighborhood is terrible 😞, you do not feel safe, the train railroad track is really close to the house and the house shakes out very badly and concerns about the fan falling off . Next the kitchen only has two burners no way to make breakfast for your family, no napkins . The parking 🅿️ is terrible as the owner wanted me to park against the house which is in the sidewalk and a sign was hanging stating No Parking, the other people who was staying on the bottom they were able to park their car inside the property with a close gate. As I call the owner to let him know I was not going to park my car outside he did stated and said we’ll go ahead and cancel it. I knew new for sure I was not going to get a refund. So I decided to stay as I have rented for three days. I had never had a bad experience in the past. All I hope is this to help someone for the future. I am 💯 percent the owner will delete my comments as the property is listed as no reviews and now I know why. Please don’t stay I will report it to VRB.
