Your cozy, sunny apartment welcomes you!

Surrounded by meadows, forests and nature is our small village called wood at about 800 m surrounded by mountains of the Belchen and Feldberg region, above Schönau in the Black Forest.

Cows graze, "Muh", "Mäh" and bird's voices fill the air - literally Fuchs and Hase say "Gute Nacht". With luck, you can watch them doing so. Farming here means suckler cow grazing and goats - mostly as a sideline.

Up here we live and live, Adolf and Elke Laile.

In 2017 we are on the ground floor of our 270 year old Black Forest house
the apartment ~ furnished in mother's room ~.

2 to max. 4 people, like with a child, dog or cat spend relaxing days in the fresh black forest air.

In Mutter's best room, the tiled stove is heated on request in winter and spreads cozy warmth - in summer you can end the day on the balcony or on the terrace, accompanied by birdsong. Even the rural sounds are quieter in the evening and you hear what silence is.

If the weather does not play along, the large cozy kitchen offers space to eat, sit, chat - accompanied by the crackling of the fire in Holzbeistellherd. Or lie down with exciting reading material in the cuddly bed, make yourself comfortable on the sofa? The right selection of crime fiction is already there. But the lovers of thrillers and other programs on TV are not too short on the large flat screen.

When you arrive, we usually welcome you personally, show them everything and then let you arrive in peace, unpack, set up. Prepare a coffee, have a drink.
After a refreshing shower in the large bathroom, you will be well-prepared for a well-deserved holiday.

You are in the apartment ~ In mother's room ~ completely independent with private entrance.
In the town of Schönau in the Black Forest you will find shops for all things of daily needs only 5 km away.

Adventurous guests have with us the ideal starting point for excursions to destinations in the near and far. Summer and winter offer plenty of variety with sports and hiking opportunities. Culture is not far off, but after an evening in one of the surrounding cities with a movie, theater or restaurant visit, one is looking forward to the silence in the wood - an experience in itself.

Hallway: Large locker, mirror, shoe rack, doggie bag, fire extinguisher, fire door for the tiled stove.

Entrance area outside: space for bicycles, skis, poles, hiking boots, sledges etc. in the fountain.
