About this property

Charming 235-yo former tavern 1 block to water/shops

235 yo home, formerly a tavern & inn where Thomas Jefferson bought salt & stockings. Beautifully furnished with antiques and modern pieces. Great private back garden patio with fence/trees. Original wood floors. Quiet street one block off of Main St. 5 min walk to sunrises/sunsets at City Dock + tons of restaurants, pubs, & shops on Main St, West St, MD Ave & Eastport. Steps from Naval Academy & St. Johns College. 10 min drive from Quiet Waters Park & more. Friendly neighbors. Walkable to ghost tours, historic tours, etc. Looking for good stewards of this historic gem. (Boat show weekends will have challenging parking. There is free parking at garage at end of St John's St but will fill quickly)

Best Location and Special Historical Home!
Beautifully decorated historic home in the heart of Annapolis. We walked everywhere we needed to go. We pre-booked parking at the parking garage on Gorman Street, a 1-minute walk to the house. We didn't touch our car all weekend. The house is clean and well-maintained. The owner has a unique collection of antiques and decor throughout the home. This is the best way to enjoy Annapolis. We'll be back.

Perfect for amazing weekend in Annapolis
Amazing historic home. Great service from the renter. Just perfect! This home has all the history, but also additional space in a larger kitchen and courtyard in the back. It has more room than I anticipated in an Annapolis home, which allowed us to stretch out. It is just steps from Main Street, the Naval Academy, and the city dock. The house was our home base as we enjoyed all of what Annapolis has to offer. It’s easy to go from this house just a few steps to shops or restaurants, and it is safe enough to allow my teenage kids to venture out into Annapolis for crepes, etc. We were able to park the car for the weekend and just walk to the Naval Academy, the football game, etc. Sadie returned my messages immediately, and all the coordination was on-point. This was a great find for us to have a memorable weekend and we hope to rent it next year!
