Looking for a secluded Smoky Mountain vacation? Then look no further, Sasquatch Sanctuary is located in Wears Valley and is only a 20-minute drive to Pigeon Forge. Bring the whole family and get back to nature in this spectacular cabin that will keep everyone entertained! Inside you will find a pool table, air hockey table, NBA Jam Arcade, Mortal Combat Arcade, Street Fighter II Championship Edition Multicade machine that also has 11 more games. Enjoy all the conventional amenities that you have at home such as a full kitchen and dining room, 3.5 bathrooms, and 5 bedrooms. On the outside of the cabin, you will find a hot tub which is an amazing way to relax and end each day. As well as 2 decks that you can relax on and take in the peaceful scenery and fresh air. You may even spot a bear or the mystical creature itself while staying in Sasquatch Sanctuary!

This cabin has great potential but needs some TLC to reach it. There is definitely plenty of space as it is three levels and has a good amount of bedrooms and is in a great location. That is about the only positive thing I can say though unfortunately. The cover to the hot tub doesn’t cover the top so it was dirty and cold and unusable. The fire place does not light. The lock on the balcony door is broken and does not lock. Someone mentioned this in a prior review as well. The pots and pans and utensils in the kitchen are unusable - they look like someone pulled them out of the trash (literally - no exaggeration). If you plan to cook, you might want to bring your own. There are also ZERO spices of any kind (not even salt and pepper) so be prepared to buy or bring absolutely everything you need for a meal. The cabin could have been cleaner. This issue was mentioned in a few prior reviews as well with which I agree. As an example, the toilets had a “sanitized” label on them; however, one of them still had urine in the toilet so I’m not confident it was even cleaned. There are some holes in the walls and some patches where they slapped on some spackle and walked off. No finishing touches whatsoever. The tubs all had mold in the caulking and needed to be re-caulked. The towel bar in the upstairs bathroom was falling off and barely held towels. All things a handyman could fix in one day. Also, there were barely enough towels for everyone staying and no extra blankets.

Dirty all-around. Only dirt and leaves in the empty hot tub. HVAC broken.

The home was unkept in general. Holes in walls. Dirty floors. Two towels per bathroom not even enough to handle the small group we had for one day. The HVAC didn’t work upstairs or on the main floor. We were freezing in January. The hot tub was filthy, empty and full of leaves. Someone did come attempt to work on it after we called but wasn’t able to get it usable. Very disappointed in the place we had such high expectations for.

Stay away!!!!!!!!!!

Such a disappointment! We were booking specifically for the spacious beds, the hot tub, fireplace with a cozy feel for a fun getaway. None of which actually was as listed! We arrived to a dirty, dusty cabin, with previous tenants garbage left behind in the kitchen. Listing said 3 king size beds, and 2 queen, we arrived to 1 king size bed and the rest queen, so frustrating coming and planning a trip to make sure everyone has space to sleep at with their small children to only find out that not even that was accurate! Hot tub was disgusting, not even working, fireplace hasn’t worked in who knows when.. grill, was worse then fireplace! Kitchen was not “basic stock” kitchen… all the things in there were so used and scratched don’t know how anyone can use anything besides some dishes. Definitely not for 5 families to stay and use comfortably. This cabin looked run down and not well cleaned at all. When we arrived, which we had to wait for two hours after our check in time, we had to clean it somewhat ourselves vacuum, wipe and wash floor.. it was that gross. The back door never locked, because the lock was broken… talk about feeling safe with our small children. Hoses were tangled up laying all over the bottom level by the hot tub. Being realistic here we are not picky people but this was completely the biggest disappointment with renting a cabin for the amount of money we paid for this.. took us at least two days to get out of the bad moods we were in because of this.

Great cabin with a few issues

The cabin was great, no lack of furnishings, beds, or anything of that manner. The cabin was very clean upon arrival, however we did have some issues with things like no trash bags being included for the trash bag in the kitchen. The couches are also very worn with leather peeling off or completely gone, leading it to not look very nice. Some rooms also had unpainted plaster and mismatched, or burnt lights, that led to it looking a little less nice than I would expect for what we paid. Overall, a nice cabin, but it needs some work.
