BAVARIAN CHALET - Nostalgic charm meets seclusion in this premiere northern Wisconsin property, nestled among majestic hemlocks. This unique 6 bedroom/4 bath/sleeps 11-16 home features an ideal setting for those who love the lake. The primary bedroom features a newly redecorated en-suite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and a walk-in shower. Each guest bedroom offers unique built-in bunks, with bathrooms thoughtfully designed to easily accommodate large groups. The spacious log great room is especially inviting - the surrounding windows make it ideal for watching wildlife. It features a vaulted ceiling with log beams, original hardwood floors and a cozy fieldstone fireplace and a gas fireplace. A large custom built dining table provides comfortable seating for 12 with a fireplace and additional seating available at the breakfast table in the large fully stocked kitchen. First floor washer and dryer are provided for your convenience. This is truly a unique property boasting Bavarian architecture, proximity to local amenities and maximum guest privacy.

Situated on the Sugar Camp Chain of lakes, Sand Lake is ideal for boating, tubing and fishing. With more than 1600 feet of lake frontage on this 26 acre private estate, guests can escape the hustle of everyday life by taking just a few steps out the door to fish off the dock, swim, or enjoy beautiful Northwoods sunsets with a lake view. A boat launch nearby, and a newly renovated boathouse and private docks and beach on the property allow guests easy access to their boat and to the 5 lakes on the Sugar Camp chain. This estate features nature trails underneath some of the largest hemlock trees in the northwoods and plenty of room for snowmobiles, with trails just minutes away.
Paved bike trails and local attractions and will provide your family or friends with the perfect location to create your own vacation memories year round. The wrap-around balcony on the second floor invites guests to enjoy a panoramic view of the entire property, which abounds with deer, birds and Northwoods wildlife. This is truly an all-season lake lodge paradise!

This home is also located near Pitlik's Resort. Take a ride by car, boat or bike and enjoy one of their famous Bloody Mary's, a warm meal, or fun in the game room. Here you will also have access to tennis, volleyball, basketball courts and beaches. This lakefront 4-season home will provide you with the perfect destination for creating your family memories in a peaceful, private location, with all of the comforts of home.

Amazing Place

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Bavarian Chalet. The location of the house is great as it is very close to the lake and is surrounded by the woods. During our stay we had no issues with the temperature inside of the house nor any problems with water/power outage. The best feature about the chalet is definitely the large fireplace found in the living area. Additionally, the chalet is very equipped with towels, sheets, pots, and pans. We recommend staying at the Bavarian Chalet to large groups as it can really comfortably accommodate many people. We are looking forward to coming back!

Beautiful Bavarian stay

Love the classic traditional Bavarian construction. So warm and welcoming. Plenty of room and lots of space to spread out with a big group. A little bit a trek coming back up from the lake but well worth it! Just a magical place.

Northwoods are it’s finest

The Bavarian Chalet was perfect for our family of 9 adults and 3 children. Very roomy and the bedrooms are cute and comfy. Fished and boated during the day and enjoyed bonfires and the stars in the evening. Highly recommend!

BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY

Our family had an awesome stay at the Bavarian Chalet The property is beautiful! Lots of room! Kitchen has everything you need to prepare & cook meals. We enjoyed walking the trails fishing swimming boating playing cards reading-amazing book collection & RELAXING! The water is pretty clear & sand bottom! Fishing was great! Dog friendly! This is a very special property! Our host Kent was very gracious & very accommodating we enjoyed hearing the history of the estate! Looking forward to staying there again!

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location.

We always like to refer our Chain of Lakes to visitors as the Northern Everglades. No gators, however, once you tour the 5 lakes by boat you'd know what I mean. Seventy Five percent of our twenty-five + miles of shoreline are owned by the State of Wisconsin, thus keeping many acres of shoreline in its natural wilderness state. Sizes of our lakes range from the smallest of 107 acres to the largest of 744 acres, all connected with hundreds of acres of winding thoroughfares. Lake depths range up to 40’ deep. Our lakes are spring and wetland fed with various creeks. Our chain of lakes eventually runs into the Rainbow Flowage at the dam on Dam Lake and on into the Wisconsin River and exits at the Gulf of Mexico. If you visit during the spring/summer/fall seasons, I urge you to take a boat tour of the chain.
