Afterglow - The Beauty of Sunset on Spectacular Ocean View & Private Beach
Afterglow is nicknamed for its beautiful sunsets & reflections across the salt water. It is right on the ocean with a large private beach & looking southwest towards Pemaquid. Spectacular ocean views and breathtaking sunsets are viewable from the entire house. A garden and a large grassy play area suitable for croquet or badminton extend right to the private beach. Trees offer a sense of privacy and quietness. Imagine waking up in the morning to the sweet smell of the ocean, watching lobstermen pulling up lobster traps through bedroom windows; sitting in the living room, dinning room or on the deck with delicious Maine seafood and watching serene evening sunsets. Exploring the rocky shoreline, sea kayaking, strolling on the public beach or joining the community house music gathering are a few activities characteristic of the immediate local area. Friendship affords good access to Camden, Boothbay, Pemaquid, Freeport or more distant attractions like Bar Harbor and northern lake regions.

You can sit back under the shade on our property or right on our private beach enjoying the race. It is really a fun to watch all kind of boats with variety of different sails racing by. Friends and neighbors, small boats and big boats, experienced sailors and novices all go. They race against each other and also trying to get around all of the working lobster boats as well. The Community House and the Long Beach are within walking distance from Afterglow. In summer season, visitors, friends and neighbors gather together with music, variety of delicious food and games at the Community House.
