About this property
Mountainback #100 2 bedroom with loft 3 full bathrooms
This large but cozy 2.5 bed, 3 bath Mountainback condo sleeps 9 and is just the perfect mountain retreat. It boasts vintage decor with modern furniture and appliances, including tumbled marble countertops and stainless steel appliances.
The master bedroom has a cal-king bed and smart TV, bedroom #2 has a queen and smart TV, with each access to a corresponding bathroom (hairdryer in each). The loft area has a twin-over-twin bunk bed with a twin trundle, as well. The loft bathroom (with hairdryer) is a rare find and an added convenience for the entire crew!
The large living room/dining room area is perfect to relax after a day on the slopes or hiking for a night of board games (a small selection available) or to stretch out and watch a movie on the 65” Roku TV. And for the music lovers, there are a couple Sonos speakers throughout. Access the balcony from either the living room or master bedroom and take in the pine-scented Mammoth air while pulling wood to grab some logs for the wood burning fire place! The sofa does pull out.
The updated kitchen is fully stocked, including a coffee maker, crock pot, blender and pancake griddle. All that you need is available to cook and serve any size meal. Washer and dryer in unit are also available for added convenience.
If you are heading up the slopes, you’re free to take full advantage of the personal locker available at Canyon lodge, which is a short walking distance up from the condo. Mountainback is also walking distance The Village, and The Village Gondola (downhill to shopping and restaurants). The Blue Line Shuttle (winter) and The Town Trolley (nights & summer) stops immediately in front of the building and will take you to the Village all the way to Old Mammoth with many local favorite stops along the way. The Mammoth Trail System is just across Lake Mary Road right around the corner. You can bike or walk down to town or up to the lakes. The abundance of underground parking is perfect for you and your guests to park forget it for the rest of your trip.
The premises has 6 jacuzzis, 1 sauna (closes at 5pm) and 1 swimming pool (open in the summer) with BBQ area! There are many sightseeing activities you can check out nearby; like Mammoths Consolidated Mine or Sotcher Lake! Yosemite National Park is only 40 minutes away. Make a trip out of it and visit Bodie State Historic Park. A genuine California gold-mining ghost town. Mono Lake, one of the oldest lakes in the western hemisphere, is hauntingly beautiful, reflecting the snow-capped Sierra Nevada in its shimmering blue waters. Highway 395 has many scenic side roads that are amazing to explore, the June Lake Loop is one of the most beautiful. This 16-mile drive on State Route 158 takes you past a half dozen lakes, providing fantastic views of the high mountains surrounding the small valley. There are restaurants, places to fish and tons of great photography spots all along the drive.
This is a great spot for family or a group of friends to experience a traditional Mammoth Vacation!
