Canna Bothy is located in the village of Mouronho. It is a family and pet friendly, fully fenced, detached property with parking, garden and pool. Ronqueira River beach is just 3.5 km offering canoe hire,
swimming, sun bathing and a cafe on the River Alva. There are restaurants close by.
The village of Mouronho has a mini market/café selling groceries, beer and wine. There is also a butcher and post office. The local municipalities of Tàbua (10km)and Arganil (11.5km) offer a full range of amenities including supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, patisseries and restaurants.
For those looking at the wider area of central Portugal, Coimbra (45 minutes), Viseu (50 minutes), the Serra da Estrela mountain resort (70 minutes) or beautiful beaches at Tocha or Mira (70 minutes) all offer a great day out.

A rural getaway for a month
We chose the property as the area was totally unknown to us and we wanted to relax. As we were bringing our dog for the first time into Europe, the location was perfect.The area was great for walks on the doorstep and Joanne and Paul were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much to ask and they were very helpful suggesting places to visit, especially with dogs.The pool was great as the weather was very hot, although it was slightly tricky to get in and out of, (but we are retired!), it was well worth it and was cleaned daily.The house was great, with all the facilities you would need for the length of time we were there.If you want to get away from the maddening crowds then this is well worth visiting, along with the nearby villages and towns.If we ever return to Portugal, we would definitely pay them visit.Thank you Joanne and Paul for your kind hospitality.

Beautiful experience
We stayed for one week and we enjoyed it very much. The hosts were very nice and hospitable. The place has been very clean and well equipped.
When we booked they offered us a baby bed and a baby chair. They bought it just for us. This was so nice. They left us food for breakfast because we arrived very late. We were so thankful.
We just can recommend this offer. The place is very quite but also a little bit away from attractions, beaches and big cities so you definitely need a car there. The pool was cleared regularly and was very clean. Everything was just finde and we were very happy with our choice.
