There is a great restaurant just down the road along with a convenience store and gas station. Portage Hills Country Club is just up the hill for the golfers in the family. Nice outdoor area and 3 bedrooms with their own door and shades and blinds to keep the rooms dark. House was clean and had all the amenities needed. The shore area is pretty mucky, not really where youd want to swim but the public beach is just down the road. The house is very dark inside and the lights arent very bright, it could use some more lighting. Theres also one portable AC unit for the whole house, combined with fans for each room and weather that isnt super hot we made it work but would not be ideal during a hot streak.

Annual summer vacation

Matt's place is perfect for our family. This is our second year staying and will be back again next year. Kids enjoyed kayaking, s'mores at the fire pit, fishing and swimming.

My family had a wonderful stay in Portage Lake. This home was right on the lake with wonderful amenities such as a fire pit, corn hole, hammocks, and a gas grill! Plenty of seating for guests to relax and enjoy. Inside was very clean and decorated beautifally with a lake house theme. Matt, our host, made check in seamless.We are ready to book again for next year!!

Great Moose Hunting Camp!

This camp was perfect for our moose hunt. You can literally see the access road to the North Maine Woods from the driveway. Plenty of parking, and great view of Portage Lake. The camp was exceptionally clean and well furnished. Beds were comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great location and property!

Very cozy, clean, and in a lovely location. Easy check-in and check-out, and Matt was easy to communicate with. Very short walk to the public beach, and the house was easy to find on Google Maps. Loved hanging out in the backyard. Thanks Matt!

Perfect location for snowmobiling

Beautiful camp right off ITS 85. Everything we needed was right there. Matt gave us great advise of where to ride and he was spot on. Thanks again Matt!! Will definitely be back.
