Loved the beautiful view of the river from the back porch. We enjoyed the campfire and board games in the evening. Variety of activities and places to check out within 30min of the home.
The screen porch, a major attraction, was filthy, and its only somewhat comfortable seating -- a couch -- was soaked because it was left by the porch window in the rain before we arrived. No firewood. Pots and pans had stuck-on food; dishes marginally clean. Bed linens plasticky and uncomfortable. Some of the ceiling lights were not working. On the positive side, the river was lovely and quite private, the neighborhood was quiet, and other than noted above, the house was generally clean.
We stayed at the Indiglo Cottage for my bachelorette party. It was a great weekend filled with crafts, games, and paddleboarding on the river. The location was perfect and just what I was hoping for! We had so much fun and would definitely come back to the Indiglo Cottage!
As a new couple we wanted to get away from reality and enjoy each other. The cottage is great. Very relaxing and tranquil. 20 minutes from downtown Waupaca.
Only downfall is dive bar 1/2 mile from cottage. Quite rude.
Very nice cabin! Nice and peaceful location. We had a great time .There are some cute little stores in the area as well as winerys. We had lunch in town at Road Rash very friendly staff and good fish fry. Host was very friendly made our stay very inviting and easy to communicate with! We had relaxing evenings playing the games provided and canoeing on the river was relaxing , peaceful and beautiful. Would definitely recommend!
This cute VRBO is nestled on the Pine River. Feel the stress melt away as you sit on the deck listening to the birds. The VRBO is very clean and has the amenities such as towels and blankets, coffee maker, etc. It could use more seating as there are only 3 kitchen chairs. There's a small couch and office chair that can be used as well. While there were 3 chairs on the deck, they needed cleaning to sit on them. Same with the screened in porch. All of the furniture except for rhe couch was very dusty. It would appear owners are in the process of updating and I can definitely see areas that have been redone such as the bathroom and some cabinets. All in all, it was a well priced cozy place to stay. If you visit the Pine River Winery, bring your own chairs. We went on the day of their anniversary and people had canopies, chairs and food ready to spend the day. It was a lovely winery. Also Silvercryst is a must. It's about 25 minutes away and worth the drive. While you're un town check out the cute shops as well as Mt. Morris Coffee Shop.
We decided to explore Waupaca for a sisters weekend getaway. The Indiglo Cotage was cozy, clean and just what we needed to relax. Whilst sitting on the back deck we observed a beautiful eagle flying past, ducks and a wacky little red squirrel. We enjoyed our coffee in the screened in porch and got a good nights sleep on the very comfy mattresses. Rachel was a wonderful hostess who answered our questions quickly and we had everything we needed.
We highly recommend the Pine River Winery just down the street! We plan on returning to the cottage and the winery!
Everything appeared new. Host was prompt with information and response. Didn’t spend much time enjoying the amenities outside but it was set up very nice if you had the time to do so. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful location, a little short on gathering spaces
Cute little cabin on the river with nice outdoor options. Check in & out process was easy and it was pretty much as described. The upstairs was good for kiddos and the other bedrooms were fine. Since there's no ac in the main floor bedrooms, there were plenty of fans, but the plastic covers on the mattresses reflect your body heat back, making for kinda sweaty sleeping if it's hot & humid out. We knew there wasn't a living room, so we brought an extra folding table and chairs which we used inside & in the patio. The kitchen was a nice size, room to put stuff in the cabinets, plenty of dishes available, but the pots & pans have seen better days ... probably someone used metal utensils were used on the non-stick pans. We enjoyed the screened in porch and used it for most meals, but the screen is damaged in a few spots, so we still ended up with some bugs - but far less than there would be without any screens!! Overall, we had a nice time and we made the space work. The scenery was just wonderful as well.
I had a great birthday weekend in the cabin on the river with my friends. This is a well equipped cabin with all the stuff you need to cook and relax. Fishing was good and kayaking was a lot of fun. Will be back again in the future.
My two friends and I stayed here for the weekend to relax and recharge. It was so great right next to the river, and the beds and couch were comfortable. We appreciated that they had streaming options on the tv as well as local recommendations on where to go for food, shopping, etc. The one picture that isn't in the posting is across from the kitchen, and it's a little space for two standing lamps, a three-cushion couch and a coffee table. It was nice and right next to the window to look out at the river. The couch could fit three plus-sized people snugly if you sat straight forward and were very close, but if that's two close for comfort, the kitchen table chairs were pretty comfortable! We sat there a lot playing games, eating meals, etc. There were a ton of games upstairs and a cute little spot for a kid to sit and read or play if they wanted too. We're hoping to come back again and decompress.
We had a wonderful stay at the Indiglo Cottage! The house looks out on to a beautiful piece of the Pine River and is a great spot to have a relaxing weekend with the girls. We enjoyed nights playing board games in the screened in porch followed by s’mores by the fire pit outside. Make sure to make use of the rental kayaks and canoe! P.S. If you’re of age, check out Pine River Winery just down the road! Thank you, Rachel!!
This was a great location for us to visit family in the area. Although this place sleeps 10 it isn't really set up to host so many people - only one towel rack, one couch, minimally supplied kitchen, and dinning table seats 6. There are outside areas but doesn't really work in winter. It is clean and new but just no where to sit for 6 people let alone 10. We enjoyed the view of the river a lot.
The cottage was quaint and clean. The space is smaller than we anticipated but it comfortably fit three of us. The best part of our stay was being able to look out at the water and have a relaxing fire. The kitchen has new appliances but could use more dishes and pots and pans. The room upstairs with the three beds has a low entry so if you're tall you'll want to watch your head getting in! A coat rack or place to put items when you walk in would be helpful. Overall a nice property and would recommend it for a small group wanting to disconnect for a few days. Rachel was a very responsive and helpful host.
Had a nice stay at the cottage. Was nicely updated and comfortable. We didn't spend a lot of time there as we were visiting family in the area, but greatly enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck and looking at the river. The living room is a little small and instructions on how to use the TV would have been nice. Also a little table or dresser in the bedroom across from the bath would have been nice to put a suitcase on. But overall enjoyed our stay, seeing deer at night was a bonus. Would definitely stay again when we're in the area.

About the host
Hosted by Rachel
I live with my husband and two young kids about one hour away in Seymour, WI.
Why they chose this property
We love this two-story cabin because it sits right on the edge of the beautiful Pine River (great for kayaking or canoeing). It's also just 10 minutes away from exciting activities like Nordic Mountain Ski Hill, authentic Wisconsin 'shoppes', plenty of great fishing in the area, and so much more.
What makes this property unique
This home provides the best views and access to the Pine River. You can frequently see a bald eagle or two soaring over the river from the deck or screened-in porch. The home has been newly renovated and everything from the flooring throughout, to the bathroom, to the kitchen is clean, fresh, and new. This is the perfect Wisconsin getaway.
