Great location in the Midland social district, several restaurants within a short walk. Brooklyn Boyz pizza right down stairs is great! Mama Lupo's Ice cream is a must! Apartment was clean and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!
I was looking for a quiet, comfortable property to rent for a weekend while attending a virtual writing retreat. I loved the photos, especially the coffee bar, and the reality met or exceeded all of my expectations. There were even snacks! The historic downtown location is also convenient to local trails, which I took advantage of, and there are a few businesses and restaurants in easy walking distance.
Bay City may be a small town but it is not small on things to do. Many restaurants that line the streets, shops to shop and outdoor concerts to listen too. Our VBRO was located above Brooklyn Boyz restaurant. Quiet neighborhood and friendly people. We plan to come back.
We stayed in this super cute apartment while in Bay City for a fishing tournament. The location was nice and central for what we needed. The neighborhood was fairly quiet minus the Friday night summer street concert the next block over but it wasn't a bother, was actually a fun perk! The apartment was super clean. We did not use the kitchen for cooking but there looked to be the basics one might need for simple meals. We recommend Vinny's pizza across the river for dinner and loved Cops & Doughnuts for breakfast (within walking distance)
The apartment is a very cute place. They did a great job decorating. It had everything we needed including a blender. :) The only reason I gave the above a 4 for communication is that sometimes it took a few days for a reply. Besides that it was a great stay!!
The apartment is so nicely done and clean. Jen is a wonderful and responsive host! We tried several restaurants and Brooklyn Boyz was the best. Most of the street parkeling and a couple of the lots are posted as 2 hr parking from 8-6 although while we were there it didn't appear to be very closely monitored. There wasn't as much going on in the area for the particular weekend we stayed as we had hoped but we enjoyed what we did do and everybody in the area that we spoke with were very friendly.
We spent most of our time at SVSU for a competition but this was a very nice place to come home to at night. Everything is new and tasteful. There is a wonderful coffee/tea bar, nice kitchen and dining area. There were plenty of towels, which I really appreciated. Snacks left for us when we checked in was a nice touch. The restaurant below the apartment was not only convenient for a later dinner but very tasty! Great experience over all. The only drawback was the front door that was rattling any time there was air movement in the hallway from others coming in into the building. It startled us every time as it sounded as if someone was trying to open the door.
The place in general was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is in a downtown strip and anytime the door opens or closed downstairs, the whole building shakes. The bathroom could use some updating, but overall the place was decent. I felt I paid too much for it because it was more expensive after fees and tax and a required insurance buy. Or you could give them $3,000 hoping you’d get it back after you leave. The host was wonderful and kind. She even texted us to let us know there was a power outage in the area and not to fret.
First, I want to thank our host, Jen, for changing our booking dates for us due to an unknown conflict! She was so quick to respond and very accommodating. Everything was exactly as in the booking photos.
If you’ve never been to Bay City, you should go! It’s such a cute town with adorable shops, parks, antiquing, and great food.
Check in was super easy/all electronic doors which was convenient. There is a tall flight of steps, but I thought it added to the charm. The apartment is clean and decorated beautifully. Love the exposed brick and some of the details. Jen thought of everything…including water in the fridge and a cute tray of snacks when we arrived. 😊 The tea cart was so fun and just perfect to enjoy an afternoon reading and relaxing. So many nice little touches throughout the apartment that I can’t list them all.
Be sure to check out “Brooklyn Brothers” downstairs. Such great service, food, and music that we ate there two nights in a row! Definitely my favorite VRBO so far!
We were visiting Bay City for the Labadie Rib Fest and this property was the perfect fit! Great location, extremely clean and property manager was excellent with communication. We enjoyed our morning stroll down the street for coffee and donuts and the local pizza place Brooklyn Boyz was a delicious and fun experience. Owner, staff and food were so amazing that we ate there twice!
When we venture to Bay City again we will definitely re-book this property!!
