Weekend getaway

This was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. It's incredibly quiet and very remote. We just wanted a long weekend to unwind and this was perfect! Comfy beds, a fantastic outdoor kitchen, and a quiet spot on the water is all we needed!

Had a great stay! Definitely will plan a return trip. Whether canoeing, grilling, or throwing darts it had a wonderfully relaxing vibe and was very comfortable. Tim and Laura were awesome. Book it!

Perfect Andalusia Weekend

We were so fortunate to have found this lovely little oasis! Laura was so gracious toward us. We spent high quality time is a warm, comfortable environment. Everyone slept well, we cooked big meals in the well appointed kitchen, played outside, and enjoyed the fire pit. The host even mailed the two coats I left in the closet back to me immediately. Can’t wait to stay there again!

Perfect Outdoor kitchen with the view of the river

My husband & I met up with my son, & his 2 kids. 10yo girl & 16 yo boy. The lake house was very comfortable & perfect for our stay. Great visit & the kids loved playing in the water along with fishing from canoe! The rain didn’t stop the scenery & the view from the back patio area. Definitely would go back!

Amazing!!!!

We enjoyed a quiet relaxing weekend!!!! Kids played in the water and adults sat and enjoyed the cool breeze on the back porch. Took trips on the kayak and canoe. Daughter even mastered the paddle board. Stayed outside all weekend soaking up the sun. Plan to do another trip later this summer.

The perfect place for a family fishing trip.

The property was clean and large enough for four adults and two small children. The back porch was wonderful and where we hung out the most. It was perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the mornings before everyone else got up. The front yard was big enough for us to play ball with the boys. The lake was absolutely beautiful with the gold, white, pink and purple honeysuckles cascading down the banks of the lake. We also enjoyed fishing from the dock. Laura was just a phone call away when we had questions. We will be back!!!

Relax and felt at home, would stay again

We enjoyed our stay, some minor difficulty getting in, with code access, but Laura was very prompt to resolve. I would suggest some solar lights for front yard (kind of dark).Home is so cozy and beds were comfortable. With small children, would strongly suggest a toddler or baby gait for stairs be at the home( we spent a lot of energy chasing our grandson on the stairs( did not realize it had stairs). Last suggestion I would put a small partial fence in back yard for toddler or small children safety. We truly enjoyed our time..

Why they chose this property

The moment we saw this property we fell in love and we think you will too! Whether you want a jamb packed water vacation or just want to sip tea on the beautiful back deck this place has something for everyone.
Although we are just learning what a great fishing lake this is, the dock is equipped with a fish light and plenty of room to cast into deep water.

What makes this property unique

Although this property is very private it is less than a 15 min drive to beautiful downtown Andalusia. With many quaint little shops, amazing restaurants and some say the best cake in Alabama!
But you will probably chose to stay in and enjoy our state of the art outdoor kitchen.
However you decide to spend your time here We hope you will enjoy it as much as we have.
