The property was beautiful and well kept up. Everything was very handy and the trolley into the downtown was great! I would suggest putting a ceiling fan on the lanai to hep cool during the day but otherwise was amazing!

Amazing view!

#223 has an amazing view of the ocean! Leave the sliding doors open to hear the waves crashing all night long with a cool breeze blowing in off the shore. A great experience.

Great location

Our condo was on the second floor right above the gently breaking waves. Every morning we watched the surfers at Banyan Beach and the outriggers paddling by. The place is a bit dated but clean, so we were quite happy. The managers were very responsive. I recommend it.

Perfect for our family

I’m a single mom with three teen girls. Being able to go on a vacation was a big deal for us! The price was fair and the condo was clean. I loved being able to cook and have somewhere that felt like “home” when we needed to decompress. I hope to come back someday and would definitely want this condo again! Thank you for helping make my family vacation dream a reality!

Nice location and view!

Stayed with my boyfriend and teenage children. Great spot close to all the shopping areas! They have chairs and boogie boards and stuff for the beach in the patio storage, plus 4 beach towels . Great to have 2 bathrooms with teenage girls with us! Washer and dryer worked great! Easy parking underneath the condo.

I wish we had more time to spend sitting on the deck or watching the surfers or the turtles. Plenty of room for the 5 of us!

Amazing!

This was our second time to the big island. We had an amazing time at Bali Kai!! The view was absolutely breath taking and the crashing of the ocean waves all day/night never got old 🌊 We had a perfect seat to watch the sunset and turtles feed each evening! The condo is older but was very clean. Towels, handsoap, dishwasher and laundry tabs, paper towels, Kleenex and TP were provided. We found the master bed to be very soft and saggy. Their was an issue with the washer on our 2nd last day and Wayne was very responsive and sent someone over right away! The location is fantastic…it made it easy to commute to our favourite beaches. The condo came equipped with beach chairs, umbrellas, boogies boards and snorkel gear. We would definitely stay here again 🌺

Screens to lanai don't slide well and screen was torn on one side of door attached with scotch tape. Floor tiles buckling. Dryer was broken. Would stay at Kona Bali Kai again just not this unit.

When we became aware of the broken screen we responded right away. This was a back to back and the previous guest apparently walked into the screen causing the rip and warped frame. After checking the dryer it required a new bearing kit. We had to order off Island and it took longer than expected for the parts to arrive. They were installed the day of arrival. Owner is aware of the wear & tear as this unit has been booked steadily for the last 3.5 months and is in the process of upgrading and refreshing the unit. We are sorry we were not able to fix the dryer in a more timely fashion. The King bed is brand new as well as the HD TV. The living room furnishings are dated but comfortable. Our guests vacation is very important to us and we take all remarks seriously. Mgmt.

Great location - poor condition

You can't get a better location, that's the up side. We saw sea turtles in tide pools right outside our window every single day, sometimes twice a day! Unfortunately the property isn't maintained well at all. There is black mold in the grout around the bathtub, the couch and sheets were torn and had stains on them, the screen doors didn't open, hot water heater didn't heat enough water for showers, etc. The property manager didn't respond to us when we reached out for help so we were on our own until we tracked down someone else at the management company. It's a pity because this location has so much potential.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view and the complex is just lovely. But unit 223 is absolutely filthy. Our feet were black from walking on the tile and carpet. We had to wash all of the dishes before we could use them. We woke up one morning to maggots everywhere. I have rented home all over for over 15 years and this was the worst place I have ever stayed. I will never go back and will never recommend this unit.

KBK 223 is a very busy unit. The carpets have been stained and look dirty. Both the carpets and tile were cleaned thoroughly prior to guest arrival. There were no maggots in the unit. There is a small bug called a net fly that comes out at a certain time each year. They are tiny and harmless albeit irritating. They are easily removed with spray. Not once during this guest stay was I notified of any issues. I would have had someone there within the hour. Not saying anything and then posting a false and eggagerated review serves no one. Respectfully submitted, Mgmt.
