Fall weekend getaway

Cute, clean cabin with hot tub on the large back porch! We were worried the driveway/road would be too dark at night, but there were motion lights to guide the way. Saluda restaurants were good spots for dinner.

Awesome get-a-way

Property is at the end of the road - very secluded and a great cabin for a couple to just get away and enjoy sitting on the back deck and enjoying the peace and quiet. Hot tub was a bonus! The host was very helpful and our experience was just incredible. 11 out of 10 rating and I hope we can stay there again soon!

not the experience I expected.

First night, we had a run-in with a UPS driver that insisted we back up the steep gravel road so he could get an A/C unit to a nearby cabin. We were able to find a way for him to squeeze by. I realize that this was beyond the control of the host, but it created some tense moments. The sofa bed was dirty. We had to clean it before going to bed. The firewood next to the fireplace had visible bugs crawling on it. We moved the firewood to the deck. The second day we were there, that afternoon, we were informed about a well being drilled near our cabin the next morning. The narrow, steep gravel road was going to be blocked about 8am and the host offered for a stranger to us, to shuttle us part of the way in a large truck. With health and mobility issues, that was not a viable option, plus limited our ability to come and go as we wanted. Also, I booked the cabin based on the description of remoteness and quiet. A quiet, peaceful place to get away from life's stresses is what I was looking for. Drilling isn't quiet and there was no known duration for the drilling. The disruption from the drilling and the blocked road defeated the reason for the stay. Bottom line, if I had known about the possibility of construction nearby during our stay, I would have looked elsewhere. After some heated discussions, the host did refund our payment and that was greatly appreciated.

Beautiful walking trails

Beautiful walking trails with waterfalls. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the property, such a beautiful setting. Cabin was as described, had everything you need for your stay. Hot tub was ready when we arrived, which was great after the drive up. We built a fire inside every evening with the wood provided, so relaxing to watch. Many thanks to the great host of this property, very quick to respond when I had questions. I would recommend to anyone who loves nature watch.
