We have stayed here many times through the years and this place never disappoints. Great caring hosts, cottage is well appointed and well maintained. Close to shopping and great restaurants. Beautiful views of the mountains. We often see deer in the yard so that’s a bonus!
The cottage was very cozy and had a great view in the mornings. The remote control fireplace was a nice touch. Convenient location to downtown Hendersonville. Would absolutely stay there again!
Sweetest little cozy cottage surrounded by a woodland garden on a hilltop in Lauren Park. I felt like in was in an English cottage. Sleeping was perfect with room darkening shades. We actually extended our stay because we loved this place so much. After hiking and exploring, we came back to read ( there were so many good books) or paint on the back porch. We both want to come back and spend a month- something I thought I’d never say. Thank you so much to Bob and Georgiana for offering such a delightful Vrbo.
This peaceful, cozy cottage was the perfect place for me to get some much needed downtime from the busyness of everyday life. The cottage was clean and comfortable and equipped with everything I needed beyond the food and clothes that I brought with me.
The cottage was a cute little cottage up on the hillside, surrounded by stone steps and gardens. It was very clean the kitchen. It was very small, but I have a small kitchen myself and I cooked Thanksgiving dinner in it for two days to take to family, so it was perfect for me
We enjoyed our stay in your rental. We will be back. You have a beautiful garden. The house was very clean. We may bring Charlie with us when he gets bigger of course.
Thanks again, Kevin Denkins and family
We stayed 2 nights in this lovely cabin near downtown Hendersonville. It’s old fashion wood construction with totally renovated interior. Clean and cozy, all appliances and bathroom fixtures new. We lacked for nothing but more time to stay and enjoy the cottage and view of the garden. Would definitely love to stay again. Our favorite spot in Hendersonville!
This is without question the best holiday rental property we have ever stayed in. We couldn’t have been more comfortable. Robert and Georgina have really gone out of their way to provide everything that one could possibly need. Within 15 minutes of arrival, we were already planning when we could come back again.
We rented the Garden Cottage for a week in early October. The property was just as advertised. The cottage could not have been cleaner and was well appointed with everything we needed for a week's stay. The hosts could not have nicer or more accommodating in answering questions and providing information. We also had tour of the Woodland's cottage which was just as clean and nice as the Garden Cottage we stayed in.

Not worth the price
Property is gorgeous. Wish the neighbors didn't use the leaf blower and saw so early in the morning and at cocktail hour! We loved the cottage but thought it was overpriced.

In corresponding with these guests, they certainly feel this is an amazing little cottage. We believe the pricing is in line with the accommodations and competition, but respect the opinions of these guests.
Yonder has approached the owners & neighbors to workout some things around yard work, etc., but in the end we can only control our own properties for any vacation rental.
We appreciate the 5-Star review, and hope to have the opportunity to host you at this "gorgeous" little cabin!
After spending 3 very rainy days/nights in Pisgah Forest, we found this adorable cottage and it was everything we needed to make an anniversary trip even more special. It was truly a home away from home and had everything we could ask for, especially the washer and dryer to clean all of our damp dirty clothes and towels. This was probably one of the coziest, comfortable spots we have ever rented and we look forward to returning for a full week's stay. The gardening and walk ways are amazing, along with the screened in porch, all fantastic places to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and listen to the birds sing. Thank you for an awesome place!

Great cozy place for 2!!
I personally didn’t stay here. We rented the cabin for our family coming into town. They just loved it and felt right at home. The only difficult thing was parking. When they arrived at the cabin it was late and they parked very close to the garage leaving the driveway clear. Upon waking up they were completely blocked in all around their vehicle with 8 vehicles. Apparently the people next door came in later then them and completely blocked them in. It was early, so they didn’t want to wake the house beside them so they ended up walking to Ingles to get needed food and we had to pick them up for breakfast instead of them meeting us. Fortunately when we got back at 11:30, all vehicles were gone and they were able to leave and go about their day. If they didn’t have us this would have been a major inconvenience. However things worked out and they enjoyed their stay. The wine, and having coffee and half and half and sugar was a very nice touch!! Location was great too.

I am glad you enjoyed the stay but am sorry about the parking. I do not blame you for parking if front of the garage, out of the designated parking spots as it was late and rainy when you arrived. Of course you would not have been blocked it you were parked in the designated spots. Thanks so much for your patience in getting unblocked!
We hope you can come again!
We spent two weeks in this marvelous Garden Cottage oasis on the owners' property tucked in forested Laurel Park, but minutes from all Hendersonville and Asheville have to offer. The Garden Cottage provided a perfect spot to rest and recharge after the hectic cross-country drive. From here, one can explore the mountains of western North Carolina and northern South Carolina. Don't forget to take advantage of the helpful books on the region the owners have made available and go discover waterfalls and hikes describe therein. They also have a great booklet of tips on restaurants and places to go. Or, just laze on the Carolina porch with the windows open, particularly in the evening when the frogs and crickets are singing. In the morning, sit there and sip your morning coffee while the birds serenade you. There is a lovely bench The floor plan is quirky, but in a fun way. The tiny kitchen is remarkably functional, particularly since it is well outfitted. We stayed there because we were in the middle of a cross-country move before we could move into our new house. The Garden Cottage provided a perfect spot to rest and recharge after the hectic cross-country drive. The owners could not have been more accommodating and welcoming, a common Southern trait. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
I have stayed in the smaller cottage here before. The Garden Cottage is so very nice. From the stone fireplace to the cozy bedroom and glassed in porch, it is a magical place. Perfect location and beautiful grounds. Can’t wait to come back.
This cozy cabin did not disappoint. Very close to Hendersonville, yet you definitely got the feeling of being off the grid.
Five minutes from one of the most beautiful areas to watch the sunset in Western North Carolina.
Highly recommended - we will definitely stay there again
Our stay at this cabin exceeded ourexpectations. The cabin was cozy, comfortable and full of beautiful woodwork. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with lots of comfortable seating for a sunset view. Will definitely return and highly recommend.
Me and my daughter plus our best friends made a trip to the cottage to have some fall fun. The cottage was in a great location, had all the necessities and was very clean and really comfortable!! It’s the perfect spot! And Georgina was so kind and welcoming. Would love to visit again!
I was very comfortable in this sweet cottage surrounded by nature. It offers all one needs in a serene location that is also convenient to town. The cottage was super clean and owners Bob and Georgina very kind and accommodating. They clearly put their heart and soul into caring for this special property . Do not hesitate!
This was my second stay at this property. It is an immaculate, authentic cottage overlooking a woodland vista. Well located for Hendersonville activities. Perfect retreat.

About the host
Hosted by Bob and Georgina Winslow
Georgina and Bob Winslow moved to Hendersonville from Texas in 2015. Georgina loves to garden, and has created a new garden adjacent to The Garden Cottage. It is still a work in progress but she is happy to be in an environment which reminds her of growing up in England. You might see her weeding, watering and planning her next project. Gardening suggestions, thoughts and ideas are always welcome! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do, and that you can take time to wander around and make yourself at home, enjoy the views or sit quietly on the garden bench with a book. Georgie also is a volunteer gardener for the Flat Rock Playhouse.
Bob is a website designer mainly for Christian churches and ministries and works from home. We attend, and are active at, Biltmore Church in Hendersonville.
We warmly welcome you to The Garden Cottage and would like to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! Please do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable.
Why they chose this property
After 20 years of raising a family in the heat and humidity in Texas we wanted to move to an area where the climate is cooler and where there are many recreational opportunities. Hendersonville fulfilled all of our desires: mountains, rivers and forest trails, as well as local history, and great shopping and restaurants. So in April 2015 we moved from Houston to Hendersonville and purchased a property where we could easily accommodate visits from our three grown children and their families. When our family is not visiting, we are delighted that other people can enjoy the beauty, the views and the quiet which The Garden Cottage offers. We have loved the lush springs, glorious falls, pleasant summers and temperate winters.
