About this property
Sweet family spot, pool & mountain view decks, 5 min walk to beach.
Since we first arrived at Uncle Paul's place over 20-years ago, we knew we'd found "it:" an easy, beautiful spot with gorgeous grounds and pools, a communal palapa, decks, views and easy access to local flavors.
A quick 5-min walk to the beach... miles of manicured sandy heaven... beach bars, seafood, fresh tropical produce... everything from snorkeling to surfing, sun bathing to sports... get lost in a book, on a boat, or just gazing out at the seasonal whale migration.
The nearby towns offer wonderful markets for fish, produce, meat, coffee, baked goods, tortillas, salt, textiles, glass, pottery and more.
To make your arrival even easier - we have a "club fee" added on to each rental - you give us a short list of groceries, and our friends will shop and stock the fridge before you arrive.
If you're here for an extended stay, our house keepers will come 2x a month to do a cleaning - included in the monthly fee. If you'd like something more often let us know.
When you go, our friends and cleaners will take care of the laundry and clean up, and dispose of any perishable foods that you didn't use up.
You can be as lazy or as active as you'd like... it's all here, and it's easy.

About the host
Hosted by Molly E. Bradford

We are an adventurous family from Missoula, Montana USA. We love all seasons of the year, and play hard in the mountains around our town... from the depths of big winter powder, to surfing inland river waves and rafting big rapids, to hiking, biking, hunting, fishing and more. Our family loves to eat local, buy local and take care of our community. We bring this same vibe on our travels - seeking out great local spots, off the beaten path adventures, artisans and great grub. Molly speaks English, German and some Spanish. Spencer speaks English and some Spanish. Our kids went to a Spanish-language immersion school, both speak some Spanish and our daughter is also taking French.
Why they chose this property
When Molly's Tio Pablo y Tia Patty (Uncle Paul and Aunt Patty) offered a week at this place around 2000, we jumped at the chance. We've been coming back nearly every year since. We've spent everywhere from 10-days to 4-months here - it's wonderful and our kids' have loved growing up here, as well. We've gotten to know the surrounding towns, city and state of Colima and parts of Jalisco a bit better in the past few years - ask us anything. If we don't know, we'll help you find the answer.
What makes this property unique
The biggest upgrade is three brand new air conditioning units in Summer 2022! We had only used the ceiling fans for 20+ years and avoided coming in summer. Now, with AC, you can come anytime and stay cool... "it's not the heat, it's the humidity!"
The sunsets are almost always amazing, with mountain views right from the deck and beach. The public beach access is just 2-blocks away... you can enter through the open gate or through Oasis restaurant and get a table on sunbrella with a small food or drink purchase. The beaches are long and wide, very clean and the water is super clear. It's easy to swim, body surf, boogie board - and nearby there is great surfing and snorkeling.
Manzanillo is the sail-fishing capital of the world... deep sea fishing is great! We don't always catch anything, but we always see dolphins, sea turtles, and in winter - whales!
And, the State of Colima is home to tremendous and rich agriculture - tropical fruits of all kinds, vegetables, meat, coffee, fresh sea salt marshes, a volcano, small UNESCO magic cities... and the sea has a large turtle activity, whale migration, dolphins and more.
