Great property; cozy new log home.
Well stocked with every thing you will need to have a great stay.
Short walk to nice beach association.
We very much enjoyed our Holiday stay with family.
The house was WAY better than the photos let on. Everything was beautiful & clean. The rooms were very well sized, the bathrooms were wonderful and the kitchen was spectacular! It was a true chefs kitchen. The location is prime for walking, visiting the lake or driving into town to explore. We had a great time and look forward to returning. Thank you!
Nice house near a great semi-private community beach
Short walk to the beach. Only down side was that the kayaks were located at the house and had to be carried down to the beach. No dolly or other way to transport them was provided.
The accommodations were very spacious and comfortable. Wrap around porch was most enjoyable. Proximity to a very nice beach and dock made the stay terrific. The owners were very accommodating. We would highly recommend this site for any weeklong family gathering.

We had a great time. House is as advertised. Awesome front porch and open living first floor. Clean, new. 600 ft walk down hill to the beach/lake. Diving board, dock, nice sandy beach.

About the host
Hosted by Scott Wallace
My wife & I have been on the lake for 58 years now & recently retired. Spending decades on Pitchwood Island and being able to grow up here on the lake in the summers and subsequently raise our children up here as well has been nothing short of fantastic. The changing seasons, the wildlife, and the weather all feeds into the experiences that shapes and forms our most favorite memories. As you can imagine, it is a bit of a logistical challenge being on an island as you need to have an access point to the lake and or a boat slip so that island access is fairly simple. When we were young we were trailer sailors, hauling & launching each weekend and all the driving back & forth. We always loved the location of the WBCC and its amenities so Heidi & I dreampt about finding a place there someday. Finally in 2015 after 21years of dreaming we bought the building lot that we built our retirement home on. Its less than a mile to our camp on Pitchwood Island by boat. Dreams can come true! My family, friends & associates have been building this house for the last three years and now its ready to share with other families so that they can enjoy the lakes regeion and all it has to offer.
Why they chose this property
This property is in the Winnipesaukee Beach Colony Club and has one of the largest private beaches on the lake. At our recently renovated beachfront there are 2 stone patio areas with chairs, shuffleboard court, & walking paths along the shorefront. Boat slip is available upon approval & additional fee. This custom log home is built with all the latest energy efficient and water conserving equipment & technology to ensure your stay has minimal impact on the environment. All of the materials used in the constructon of this home are harested in New Hampshire with the exception of the roof shingles which are manufactured in Canada. Not a lot of trucking needed to bring in imported materials. Central air with 5 separate zones ensure that each guest will be comfortable. Radiant heat in the floors including both bathrooms will make your stay toasty warm in the winter months. Ideally situated at the top of peacful & calm Cummings Cove, the included kayak will take you to Spindle Point, Sallys Gut, & Stondam Island in minutes. The area is abundant with Loons as the Stondam Island Conservation area is right there. Fishing is great too. A five minute drive takes you downtown to the town docks and all that Meredith has to offer, shopping, dining & sightseeing. A 20 minute drive takes you to Gunstock Mountain for year round sports activities. Weirs Beach is 10 minutes away. Cannon & Loon mountains are less than an hour to the north.
What makes this property unique
Our home is ideally suited for families with the first floor master for the folks who have trouble with stairs, and the master bath is barrier free, it is a wet room. First floor high capacity laundry makes laundry less of a chore as its right as you walk in from the north entrance. The large kitchen & dining/living area is set up so that mealtime will include that everyone is part of the conversation if desired, the large wrap around porch has outdoor seating for dining where you can just sit enjoy the quiet and read a book. The second floor loft is also great for reading, playing checkers chess or a puzzle and you can still see the game on the wall mounted tv if thats what your needs are. If you are a boater the public launch is 5 minutes away and there is plenty of off street parking for your tow rig & boat trailer. The rental does not include a boat slip but one is available with approval and additional fee. There is a strict 24 foot maximum length at the marina. If you have a small boat like a PWC or 15 foot or less boat we have a private launch right next to our beach. Again, prior approval & additional fee may apply.
