Never again

I was asked by the host via text to delay my check-in by 1-1/2 to 2 hours past the listed check-in time. I was told it was because the previous guest needed a late check-out and they needed time to clean. That's fine, not a big deal. After entering the unit, though, I am confident it had something to do with the horrible odor throughout the unit. I opened the windows for several hours even though it was below freezing outside and didn't get any relief and was just hoping it would dissipate. I ended up checking out 2 nights early because it was overwhelming. I let the host know I was leaving, and there was no response and/or inquiry about my stay. Again, I'm confident they already knew the situation since there were, theoretically, cleaning people in there within an hour of my arrival.

2 Week visit

Visited our Des Moines family for two weeks and found this was a good option for us. Property was good, location is what we wanted and size was adequate. Would stay again👍

Good location

Overall our stay here was good. The apartment fit our needs and the location worked well for us. Our main issue was the lack of towels. There were three of us staying here and one one towel and wash cloth. When I contacted the host they said they couldn’t bring me any that day, but would give me money to go purchase my own. I had just driven 12 hours with my two kids and really didn’t want to load everyone up to get more toweled. They told me they would have their cleaners drop towels off the next day. We were there nine days and never got anymore towels. I ended up borrowing some from family in town.
