3/3 Water front Vacation Home

Come down and just relax in our beautiful vacation home in the Florida Keys. This house is located in Tavernier Florida, 60 miles south of Miami, and just north of Islamorada. Key West is only a 90 mile drive.

Bring or rent a boat and dock it behind the house on the 60 foot dock. We are located on the bayside but you can cross over to the ocean side via Tavernier Creek. Enjoy all the Florida Keys has to offer including boating, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, or just relaxing.

2025 Taverier Vacation

Keys weather was ideal in Feb/March for us two retired snowbirds. The house was comfortable and the location was very convenient to shopping and my gym. Downstairs was a comfortable additional area that our son and his wife enjoyed for a weekend visit. Everything we needed for a comfortable 6-week stay was supplied in terms of fully equipped kitchen, linens, etc.

Great stay

Loved the safe location. Saw manatees in the canal as well as shrimp and fish at night in the lit water. Enjoyed the large balcony daily. Could see iguanas from the balcony. The inside was decorated nicely and plenty of room. Would recommend this place.

Home away from home

Very comfortable and easy to feel like you’re home away from home. Modern. Clean and well kept. Quiet neighborhood. Great location for everything we wanted to do. Canal location offered a nice relaxing environment.

Very clean, big house with many kitchen supplies/linens.

Nice surprise to find very comfortable, newer furniture in the living room. Bedding also updated from posted online photos. VERY NICE. On arrival, were we concerned about interior because carport has multiple patched areas. Outside sink did not work, outdoor patio furniture has peeling paint and outdoor sofa cushions are flatter and more faded than photos. It's Florida though, things will fade. Outside wooden chair leg cracked when chair was sat on! Questioning our choice at this point. Then we went inside...it is beautiful. Very tastefully decorated. Big cabinets fully stocked with everything you need to cook, bake, microwave and grill. Many supplies for serving food and drinks. Multiple sets of sheets for the beds. Plenty of bath towels, washcloths, hand towels & beach towels. Two issues: Master bath shower drain clogged. Water went on bathroom floor as soon as the shower door was opened! Water even trailed a foot into the bedroom. I did not feel the water because of numbness in my legs. Cleaned it up within minutes. Called the owner and he responded ASAP. He instructed us to lift the drain up and empty filter. Please have housekeeper check this before renting. Second issue was front burners worked on the Viking stove, but the back burners did not. We had to juggle already filled pots and pans around the first day we cooked. After that experience, we used alternate cooking methods. Stove needs repair before next rental. We would rent again!

We are glad you had great time at our home. I double checked the stove and it seems that when the cleaning company switched the burner cap parts and accidentally switched them. I was able to switch them back to the correct burner and they are working. Safe travels back home.
