Check-in was smooth, and all the details we needed were in the check-in description sent by the host. (My host was also really responsive when I had a question simply because my phone wasn’t loading VRBO at one point.) The room was huge, with plenty of space to unload our things and get organized for our stay. The refrigerator in our room was also a really nice size, allowing is to store the things we brought along, plus leftovers from eating out, which is so nice to be able to do when traveling to sporting events with kids!
Typical Zermatt hotel room, which is what we were expecting, but there are some issues. Most significant is the facility HVAC unit in the alley outside the window. Constant super noisy HVAC. There is also a bright light on all night long. If the old curtains and shade were removed and a modern insulated blackout shade were installed, it could help with this problem. Fridge is missing the middle shelf. Microwave is missing the wheeled ring that tge glass tray spins on so it’s not easy to use. Have to balance your cup or bowl right in the middle. Overall wasn’t that clean either. Shelves in bathroom pretty dusty. Also, as with most Zermatt rooms, the carpet is very tired.
We loved staying at the zermatt. Many fun things to do, room was great, resort was beautiful, owner was very responsive to our questions. We loved our weekend here, thanks!
We had a wonderful time, and it was stunningly beautiful at this time of year! We enjoyed the activities at the resort, and loved the quaint and adorable town. A perfect weekend getaway!

Stayed for a bike race
Beautiful area but the resort is very tired and in need of a renovation. Hot tubs and sauna were out of commission the whole time.
Clean enough but not great value for the money.

We booked this place for our girls trip (4 women), but when we arrived at the property, the air conditioning wasn’t working. The owner offered a different room, but it only had one bed. After try number three the owner offered two double beds in a very rundown room. The room likely belonged to someone because the drawers had gift cards, and there were command strip type hooks throughout the room and bathroom, possibly for hanging swimsuits. It looked like some kind of a kids room. We tried all day to contact the owner to let him know that the room was not going to work. We had brought perishable food with us and we were expecting a place to cook and store it. This room had no accommodations for that and we ended up having to throw all of our perishable food away. After trying for many hours, we still did not hear back from the owner and it was too late to make other plans so we stayed in that room overnight. Unfortunately, we were all woken up about 2 AM with yelling and gunshot noises because of our neighbor’s loud movie. I tried contacting the owner to let him know that this wasn’t going to work and that we would be checking out in the morning. I asked for a refund for the second night, but never heard back. We were extremely disappointed.

Pros: Good location, fun pool, responsive host.
Cons: The AC was broken when I arrived late in the evening. I thought maybe I just didn’t realize that the unit didn’t have AC. But it was 81 degrees around 11:30 PM. Slept with the fan option on and a large fan that was already available in the room. That got the temperature down to 76 degrees, but it still made for a really rough sleep. By the time morning rolled around it was getting increasingly warm. I checked to see if I could open the window for some air, but there was no screen on the outside. It was so hot, I ended up skipping taking a shower and just getting out of the room for my planned daytime activities. It seemed odd that AC wouldn’t be included, so I decided to reach out to the host. He was quick to respond and he came to see if he could fix it. He couldn’t, so he offered me the option of staying in that room and setting the fan up in the window or switching rooms.
I took the host up on the offer to switch rooms. Upon arrival, this room was indeed cooler with a nice king sized bed.
Other cons: the key didn’t work to unlock the pool, the toilet water was running non-stop upon arrival in the new room, the ice machine wasn’t working, it looked like someone had taken out the tv and left the cable hanging out, and there were no usb charging ports in the room.
Overall, I appreciated the host. But I wouldn’t ever stay here again. It’s also a room that doesn’t seem to be managed by the hotel itself. It was odd.
Room was okay - beds were really nice and comfortable. I reached out to the host several times to try and shorten the stay by one night and they were non-responsive. I could have cancelled the reservation and re-booked for two nights but did not want to take the reservation from the host. Anyway when I asked about a refund for one night, the host said it was out of their hands and had to handled by VRBO. Tried to contact them and their AI assistant was of no help. I ended up paying for three nights on a two night stay despite my efforts to modify my reservation so I was ticked off about that.
The room was fine. The window didn't shut all the way, thus letting cold air into the room. We solved that issue by turning up the heat. The curtains don't close all the way and there is VERY bright light right outside the window. The view out this window is of the other part of the hotel where the laundry pickup drive is and of the parking lot. There is no view. The owner never got back to me on what was included in the "kitchenette." It is a microwave, mini fridge, sink, and 3 burners. There are no dishes, utensils, or anything. Not even dish soap or towels. The pool and hot tubs were very crowded and there were a ton of little kids. The smell was not pleasing. They did have towels available at the pool, but you had to leave them before going back to the room. The hotel website showed a menu for breakfast at the restaurant by the front desk, however once we arrived we realized that they weren't serving breakfast. A note on the website would have been great.
