Quaint warm cottage 30 mins from Yosemite entrance
We had a very comfortable stay at Melanie's property. The place was very well furnished, well heated, clean and cozy. Well stocked supermarkets are very nearby so the location was convenient. I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone planning to visit Yosemite and willing to stay outside of the park.
This property is located close to highway 41, which gives it easy access to the west entrance OR the south entrance of Yosemite. Oakhurst is a great place to stay when visiting Yosemite (the purpose of our stay). There is a great grocery store nearby (Raleys) and the guys at the Cool Bean coffee shop were amazing with local info. We enjoyed eating at 41 Smokehouse and El Cid Mexican Restaurant. The house is very cute and has a really nice area out back for seating. There's tons of space on the main floor to just hang out. The property owner was super helpful and very responsive to our questions.

House was just as it was described. We booked this property for the outdoor spaces because is summer and the kids like to play outside. Maintenance was not done, tall dry grass, not clean. They could not enjoy it. We are big coffee drinkers and the coffee machine was dirty and had mold. Other than that the stay was fine. Host was very responsive and friendly.

Great place for a family visiting Yosemite or Bass Lake. The house looks like a Dutch cottage. It is well maintained and the owner is really nice! Three large beds that would sleep 6. Any others would sleep on a hide a bed or air mattresses. One tip for someone coming in the summer, the AC in the large room will work, but if no one stayed in the house before you arrived, account for it to take the first day and night to cool down. Once this happens, the house is super comfy.
This house is even cuter than the photos. We were very comfortable in the chalet - the yard, furniture and sauna were particularly nice. The pull-out couch is too uncomfortable to sleep on and I'd recommend planning on sleeping on an air mattress instead. We slept 10 in the house; the three beds are great but the air mattresses were necessary. Also, the air hockey table was broken - it looks like the plug was damaged before we arrived. Otherwise, this house is awesome and has molt things you would need stocked. Melanie was an amazing, communicative host - check in/out were very easy, and she provided great local recommendations. We'd definitely stay here again!

Thank you for staying with us and leaving a review. We have not heard about the pull out bed being uncomfortable, but we have two blowup mattresses and often suggest that people put one on the bed if they want a thicker mattress. We also did not know that the air hockey table was broken as no one else has reported that, so thank you for letting us know. It’s disappointing if somebody breaks something at the house and doesn’t tell us. We will certainly look at getting that fixed. So glad you loved the house and enjoyed your stay.
