The room was very clean, the staff was friendly, there was a bit of delay during check-in but it seems to have been a one-time thing. If you are looking for a place to stay that is affordable and convenient location, I recommend it and would stay here again.

We really enjoyed this renovated early era San Francisco hotel. It’s tucked into Market Street and was a last minute booking with such a great price. A market across the street for the few things we needed or had forgotten was a big help. Parking off site was under 40/day and was a bit of a hike, but there were breakfast and pastry options along the way. Staff was more than helpful to get me up to the 3rd floor with my healing knee surgery. Cute room, comfortable bed, A good nights sleep.

Nice room that was perfect for a quick stay. Can’t speak to heat or AC, because I didn’t use them. Shower was good. There is road noise because it’s right on Market Street, but bring a pair of earplugs and you’ll be fine. Amazing cafe around the corner…the pastries are phenomenal!! Overall great stay in a historic hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

The place is ancient. Depending on who you are that may appeal to you. Consequently the floor is uneven and the shower has trouble draining. At least the bed is clean and the utilities work. The price is fair. That's really all I can ask for.

Lovely, Affordable stay in Hayes Valley

Really appreciated the location and flexibility of the property managers. I like that they had a proper front desk. The room had some scuffs but overall clean, comfortable, friendly, and great value. Tons of good food, coffee, and drink options in the neighborhood.
