Our place is at the end of a lovely wooded lake road, past the older closely spaced camps. Surrounded by woods, the only sounds at night come from the loons. Wake up and take the kayaks or canoe across the lake to the wonderful cafe, Scapes, for breakfast and a great cup of coffee. Or kayak the other direction and spend the day going down Hopkins Stream to Hopkins Pond and then on down the Dead River Stream to a series of other lakes all the way to Wayne, Maine and get an ice cream. Or simply hang out, floating and swimming, playing games in the lawn, or reading a book in the hammock. The lake is listed as one of the cleanest in Maine :)
