Hi Robert & thanks for your review. We're delighted you & your family had a great stay & enjoyed the restaurant. Thank you for choosing The Charter, we hope to welcome you back soon.
If you are an active family, this is NOT your place.
This review is no reflection on the amazing staff of The Charter, but more specific the rental.
We have been visiting Beaver Creek since the early 90's and have loved every trip. We have stayed at multiple properties in the Beaver Creek/Vail area and I felt this one needed a review which I usually never do. Im just going to the the highlights which I think most families are interested in.
There is not a single hook or cubby in the entire unit to hang your seasonal activity outerwear or a place for shoes/boots. The entry has a great 8 to 10 foot wall with a poster hanging on it. Owner might rethink that area for functional usage.
The water heater is small and old, so we had to stager our showers so maintenance didn't need to reset it. (Family of 4 - Definitely would not work for Family of 6 as VRBO shows) If you want to go to dinner, plan a 2 hour shower allotment.
The comments state the kitchen is well stocked, which is mostly true. Lots of pans for the cooktop and utensils. After the remodel, most of their oven pans are too large to fit the efficiency sized oven and are no longer useful. Also, no cupboard for food. We moved all the decorative items to create our own "pantry space".
The ski in/out is available, but doesn't mean you really want to do it, especially on a snowboard. Did it once, #horrible. A better option is to ride the shuttle to base mountain and walk back.
Unfortunately, we will not be rebooking.
