Luxury Lake Front Cottage

Welcome to The Blue Cottage on Lake Lanier! If you are looking for a romantic couple's getaway or a week or weekend with a few friends this is the perfect cottage for you.

Situated less than 15 minutes north of vibrant downtown Gainesville, Georgia and 23 minutes east of downtown Dahlonega, The Blue Cottage is the perfect Lake Lanier vacation destination for your family and friends. Whether you need a long weekend away or a week-long summer vacation, this house will not disappoint!

A quaint little cottage on the outside, you will enter through the front door to an expansive 3,500 square foot home. There is a beautiful eat-in gourmet kitchen with separate wine and coffee bars. The kitchen has been thoughtfully stocked to include all essential items for your home away from home. It includes an induction range with double ovens, or it can be used as one large oven with air frying capabilities. Beyond the kitchen is the enormous, yet comfortable, great room with a 70” inch smart TV, additional dining space and conversation/game areas. A large screened-in porch is accessible from the great room to enjoy relaxing lake views or an outdoor meal.

Downstairs you will find a TV/game room with a pool table/ping pong table and 70” smart TV with a comfortable seating area.

Walk down the gentle path to the two-slip boat dock with party deck! You can rent a boat from a local marina, enjoy the provided water toys, or just relax and enjoy the lake and gorgeous sunsets. If you are bringing your own boat, there is a boat ramp conveniently located just minutes away.

Bedroom is furnished with smart TV for your enjoyment. Plus, just in case you can’t get away from work for the week, there is a desk with monitor for your convenience. Don’t forget to bring any required specialty cables, HDMI to HDMI is provided.

Our family has rented vacation homes for years and wanted to bring elements of our favorite places to this home. We can assure you that The Blue Cottage will be ready for you to relax and enjoy! If you have any issues, we are a call away.

We will provide a starter package of paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher pods, dish soap & K-Cups at check-in. Kroger is less than 2 miles away and a new Publix approx 4 miles away for any other needs.

PLEASE NOTE: Jet Skis located in the dock are NOT available for guest use. Jet Skis can be rented at local marinas. Also note that you must go under a low clearance bridge to access the property by boat. Depending on current water level, some vessels may not be able to access the area.

Nightly rate is based on double occupancy. There is a $50/per person, per night charge for additional guests. The number of guests must not exceed the number of guests included in the reservation.

Please note there is an exterior Ring Door Bell (camera) attached to the front porch. Only registered guests are allowed at the property during your stay.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please leave dirty towels on shower floors.
Please leave dirty kitchen towels in sinks
Please place bagged garbage in large garage garbage bins
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No loud music outside at any time. Any noise complaint can result in removal from property without refund of rental payment.
There will be an automatic $300 additional cleaning fee charged for garbage that is not bagged and removed from house at time of checkout.
The number of guests cannot exceed the number of people in the booking. This rule is strictly enforced. At no time, are more than 5 guests allowed.

This is one of the best properties we’ve ever visited. The house was super clean and the owner was fantastic. She had great recommendations and made our experience unforgettable. We visited the area for some concerts in Alpharetta. She took the time to look up who was in concert and upon our arrival, the Alexa started playing their music. This was an incredibly thoughtful touch. We will 100% return.

We had a great stay at The Blue Cottage. The house was stunning and had everything we needed for a week by the lake. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with anything you could imagine. It was so much less stressful after traveling from afar to arrive at a home with all of the basic essentials already available. We were able to focus entirely on relaxing, and this was the perfect place to do just that. Kate was a tremendous host - very responsive and really went out of her well to ensure we were comfortable. She thought of everything! This was among our favorite rentals, and we have rented at many different locations. Really terrific.

Beautiful house on the lake

The house was beautiful - high spec decor, fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. The position on the lake had perfect views and was really accessible with the kids. The games room, kids outide play area and access to the rowing boat were a huge bonus and meant the children were never bored! The host is attentive with immediate responses to any questions about our stay, we will certainly visit again!

This beautifully appointed home is designed for memory making with your loved ones, and includes so many thoughtful items, like the games, yummy smelling soaps, and luxurious bedding. We stayed at The Blue Cottage over the Thanksgiving holiday. I’ve stayed in many Vrbos, but never has one been this well equipped! It was amazing. The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and the view of the lake was gorgeous. Honestly, the only thing that would have made it better is if it was my house!

The host has left nothing out of this rental. I have stayed in many homes but this one is one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in. The host has also provided everything you could ask for in amenities (and more)! It is so nice they allow people to use their kayaks and provide life jackets. The coffee pods were a nice bonus ! I would definitely recommend this home!

Beautiful lake house right on the lake nice area.

This house is fabulous. It’s better than the pictures show it so welcoming and clean. There was everything imaginable that you would ever need for a lovely vacation. We had a marvelous time and would love to come back to this house. It’s in a great area as well many things to do very close by. Blue Cottage is a beautiful home that does not feel like a rental at all. The property is well cared for, very clean and each detail has been well thought out. We had a great time at Blue Cottage. So many activities to keep everyone entertained. So clean and spacious! The kitchen was well equipped for family dinners. The dock space was the hot spot for swimming, fishing and sunning. We caught 8 nice fish during our stay! That blackstone grill was a nice bonus. We even used it for a big family breakfast. Kate and Rich are very cordial and attentive owners. They couldn’t have been nicer to work with.

Absolutely beautiful!

This property is one of our favorite places that we've ever stayed. It was very peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. The house is absolutely gorgeous and the owners have thought of everything! The coffee bar and the game room were a nice touch, and although it was just my husband and I, we had a ton of fun playing pool and ping pong. My only complaint is that the house isn't mine and we don't live there! :)
