About this property

Cream City Loft #2 I Milwaukee I 3rd Ward

Summary:
Hardwood floors. Exposed ceilings make it EXTRA spacious. Cream city brick walls. The reclaimed warehouse style the area is known for. Right in the heart of the VERY lively action of our favorite Milwaukee neighborhood: Historic Walker's Point. It's home to the cities best restaurants & breweries & you're living on “Restaurant Row.”

The Space:
What makes our space unique?

The exposed ceiling, hardwood floors & cream city brick walls give that charming warehouse chic aesthetic. This is no cookie cutter, uninspired new apartment. There's a lot of unique character in it's classic design & that's why we love it! The buildings bones are a little older but that's where the charm comes in.

The neighborhood is second to none for Milwaukee's best restaurants all in walking distance.

The living room has a Roku Hulu etc. Board games under the TV.

Guest Access:
The entrance to the building is a large wood door located between two businesses. (Tattoo Parlor and a Hair Salon) Once inside the building there is a steep staircase that will take you to the 3rd floor landing. . There is no elevator or handicap access to the unit. If you do have trouble with stairs or limited mobility, this may not be the best fit.

The Neighborhood:
The Walker's Point neighborhood is second to none in my humble opinion. Home to makers, artists, brewers & an unmatched melting pot of cultured experiences. It is the uncontested home to Milwaukee's best arsenal of restaurants, including the restaurant I own Screaming Tuna Sushi, Voted Best Sushi in MKE by the Journal Sentinel, OnMilwaukee, MilwaukeeMag & ABC 12, & a Best View in Milwaukee winner. Below is a partial rundown!

Restaurants:
We have two James Beard chefs at Braise & Laughing Taco just 3 blocks south. Milwaukee tapas darlings in Movida (best service & sangria in town) & La Merenda nearby. President Obama's choice brunch, Engine Co. No. 3 is literally across the street from us. Award winning places like La Damas & Morel. A personal favorite of ours in the adorable The Noble downstairs. Pizza across the street at the Fixture. Countless Mexican food options immediately to the west. Wine on tap at Black Sheep 4 blocks south. One of Milwaukee's best burgers at Merriment Social by Screaming Tuna. Camino is my favorite unassuming bar food. Zocalo, The National, fast food, the list goes on & on & it's all within an easy 8 minute walk.

Bars & Brews:
Fat Daddys sand volleyball bar to the left. Steny's Tavern across the street, the quintessential Milwaukee sports bar with free shuttles to Miller Park for Brewers Games. Var Art Gallery & Bar, with stuff like open mic comedy nights across the street. Tin Widow cocktail bar, Sabattic rock bar. Urban Harvest Brewing Co, MobCraft Brewery, Indeed Brewing, Broken Bat Brewing & Great Lakes Distillery a few blocks away. Shaker's Cigar Bar/Ghost Tours & Caroline's Jazz Club 3 blocks south. Walkers Point Music Hall 4 blocks west, with everything from jazz to vinyl DJs. Cooperage live music venue 2 blocks east. O'lydea's Irish Pub with great trivia & wing nights. Lost Valley Cider Bar. Numerous LGBT bars, beercade, clubs. etc etc. Or a convenience store a block away where you can load up on your own beverages to have drinks on our roof.

Other:
Iron Horse Hotel, the award winning boutique hotel with 3 great restaurant/bars & one of the coolest patios in Milwaukee. Anodyne, Stone Creek , Collectivo Coffee & the impressive Fuel Cafe are all within walking distance & all very cool. Walker's Point Tattoo is downstairs if you need permanent memorabilia. 2 salons downstairs if you need your hair done. Purple Door Ice Cream is down the street for Milwaukee's favorite ice cream. Float Milwaukee's flotation pods for relaxation & rejuvenation are just behind PPD. Milwaukee Kayak Company is by my restaurant if you want to take a river tour. Hotel Madrid for amazing cocktails, wine cellars & churros. Harley Davidson Museum is a 5 minute drive, with the Potawatomi Casino just past that, & Miller Park continued on the same road. Countless boutiques & antique shops on our guidebook.

10 minute walk north to the Third Ward, Milwaukee's glamorous Fashion District. 5 minute bike south to Bay View neighborhood, the hipster headquarters of Milwaukee. 5 minute Lyft downtown. 10 minute run northeast to the Lakefront. 10 minute Lyft northeast to the beach. That's right, Milwaukee has a beach. The more you know.

Getting Around:
Getting around is an absolute synch.

Neighborhood hotspots are all within walking distance, mentioned above.
There are 3 Bublr Bike Stations within a short walk, the closest one just a few blocks away.

There is a taxi company a block away, though we are big fans of Uber & Lyft.
We're along bus routes at major intersections.
The Amtrak & Greyhound station is a 4 minute ride away.
Free shuttles to Brewers Games from across the street.
3 different parking options.
Even the Milwaukee Streetcar under construction now will come our way.

For parking, our building is surrounded with options on 3 sides, from paid lots to free overnight street parking with free registration. We also have 1 spot for the building that belong to us.

Other Things to Note:
Before we can confirm any booking, we do need to know:
1. What brings you into town?
2. How many people will be staying at the home?
3. Do you expect any visitors, if so how many?

This unit is up a set of stairs. If you do struggle with stairs, this may not be the best property.

We do have Ring Cameras outside the property. Any blocking of the cameras will lead to an automatic eviction, forfeiture of security deposit, no refund and a fine. Please do not block these cameras.

**It is important to remember to return the keys to the lockbox where they were initially found. Failure to do WILL result in a $300 lockout fee AND you will be responsible for any expenses incurred by a locksmith and additional hours this causes for our cleaning team. Please please please do not misplace the keys and put them back, it's the easiest for everyone, thank you!

Family Wedding
Perfect space for family of 4 adults -- plenty of privacy and room to stretch out in between activities. The 1.5 bathrooms was a bonus, especially for 4 adults getting ready for a wedding. Great location in vibrant downtown neighborhood -- so many wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, and museums, plus easy walking to the Riverwalk and Lake Michigan.

Good Living Space
The property has a good living space, made up of an open concept kitchen/dining and living room. The outside noise was manageable and expected, as it is just off a relatively busy street. The location was so close to many good food and beverage options. Some things that kept me from rating this property 5 stars were the loud neighbors (no fault of the host, see more below), not comfy beds, and a main bathroom/shower that could use a lot of love. The current upstairs neighbors are very noisy, which affected our ability to go to sleep when we wanted to. The host was very responsive when we reported this to them and they did what they could by contacting the other landlord. Unfortunately it didn’t matter and they still had another party Saturday night after our complaints about Thursday night.

Great property! Great location!
We were 2 couples in town for the weekend and the property met our needs perfectly. The apartment was very nice and as expected from the description. All the details provided in the listing and in emails were appreciated. So many great places to eat and drink nearby. We walked all around the city and never needed our car all weekend. Thanks for providing an amazing location for us to enjoy the great city of Milwaukee!
