Stay away from this property
Drove 5+hours only to arrive to this cabin which was filthy and nothing like the “nice pictures” on the site. We checked in, walked around and found open bags of food, toys, non-working lights, dirty floors, a trailer on the property which looked like someone was living in, and a non-maintained hot tub. We left within 15 minutes and stayed at a local hotel. Called the property manager, whom insisted that we were wrong and immediately got defensive about the situation. No refund offered which is fine by us… maybe take our money and clean the cabin so that it’s sanitary!

Simple and Great place to enjoy
Travelled with friends for the weekend and place is great and they had all the things what we needed at this place. Enjoyed the sit on the wrap around deck and the hot tub. Host made us aware of the some fall bugs which is good and understandable due to the fall time.

Fall trip with Kids & Grandkids!!!
Electric boxes exposed, towels were cheap & worn, no chairs for the fire pit, lower level had an unpleasant odor, downstairs bathroom door wouldn’t close. The porch was great!!! The neighbor had a scrap yard of junk 😲

Cabin was clean. The hot tub was fantastic after hiking all day. The locals who live nearby were super friendly. Overall a great place for my family to reconnect.

About the host

Host profile image
Nick and I are raising our families in Upper Arlington, Ohio. We have taken trips to the Hocking Hills with family and friends and love the escape away from the city. I currently own and have managed a property in Lancaster, Ohio for 4 years as a premier host.
.
We decided to team up and purchase this property because we like the proximity to Tar Hollow State Park. We are looking forward to spending time in the summer and some weekends exploring, fishing, and canoeing with the kids and giving them an experience that we can't find in the city.

We have decided to rent our property out to other families when we are not using it ourselves.

Why they chose this property

The location feels like home away from home to us. The neighbors have been welcoming and the children have stopped by on their 4 wheelers eager to meet their new neighbors.

Being just a few minutes away from Tar Hollow State Park was a big highlight for us. Our kids love hiking, fishing, and kayaking and all those things are there in one place. You can spend a whole weekend there and still have plenty of things that you didn't get to do that you plan on doing your next trip.

What makes this property unique

The proximity to the 3rd largest state park in the state of Ohio is a huge benefit.
