About this property
Secluded 7,800 SqFt Cabin in the Woods- Pond, River, Theater, Disc Golf & More
Escape to this stunning 7,800-square-foot cabin tucked away on 15 private acres, complete with its own pond and river. With 6 bedrooms, a spacious dorm room, and 7 ½ bathrooms, there’s plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. Completed in September 2022, this retreat offers endless activities right on the property—you can swim, fish, hike, or simply explore without ever getting in the car.
Challenge friends on the 9-hole disc golf course that winds for over a mile, or settle in for a movie night in the theater room that seats more than 20. The fun continues with a pool table, ping-pong table, a second game and living room featuring a 22-foot shuffleboard, and an 87-inch TV. Card tables on the balcony and in the game room, plus a closet stocked with games, mean there’s always something to do—whether it’s an active adventure, a competitive game night, or quietly reading a book while gazing out at the scenery.
The river has an incredible swimming hole teeming with fish—bring goggles and snorkel gear to dive in and explore. Cast a line in the pond or paddle around in the kayaks provided. For even bigger adventures, Anderson Ranch Reservoir is just 15 minutes away, offering boating, fishing, skiing, wakeboarding, and even cliff jumping.
The main floor features a beautiful master bedroom, with a second master upstairs, both boasting breathtaking views. The dorm sleeps 12 and has two full bathrooms, perfect for the kids. The fully stocked kitchen includes plates, bowls, cups, a griddle, crock pots, pots and pans, utensils, a mixer, coffee pot, toaster, spices, and more—everything you need to cook for a crowd. Outside, fire up the BBQ grill and gather around the picnic tables for meals with a view.
There’s a reason we have 100% five-star reviews—this is the place where unforgettable memories are made. We love hosting weddings and are honored to be part of such special celebrations. Because weddings often bring additional guests on the big day, which leads to more wear and tear and extra cleanup, there is an additional event fee of $1000 for weddings held at the property.

About the host
Hosted by Aaron Fuhriman

We’re a family of seven from Boise, and this cabin started as a dream for us — a place where we could escape the noise of everyday life and spend time together making memories. My wife and I wanted a space where our five kids could grow up exploring the outdoors, swimming in the river, roasting marshmallows under the stars, and just enjoying being kids. When we built this cabin, we didn’t see it as just a vacation property; we built it as a true extension of our home.
From the start, every detail was chosen with family in mind. The big gathering spaces, the game room, the dorm for the kids — all of it was designed to bring people together. And somewhere along the way, the cabin became more than we even imagined. It’s the place where we all feel the most relaxed, the most connected, and the most at home.
We love Featherville — the quiet mornings, the smell of pine trees, the easy pace of life. We wanted to share that experience with others. Hosting gives us the chance to do that. It’s incredibly rewarding to see families, friends, and groups come here and create their own stories — fishing in the pond, watching movies in the theater room, jumping into the swimming hole, or just sitting on the porch and soaking it all in.
We’re not just listing a property; we’re opening up a space that means the world to us in hopes that it will mean something to you too. Our goal is simple: to give others the same kind of joy, connection, and lifelong memories that we’ve been lucky enough to experience here.

Why they chose this property
We chose this area because it offers something that’s getting harder to find — true peace and quiet without sacrificing accessibility or things to do. Featherville is just a scenic two-hour drive from Boise, but it feels like you’ve entered a different world. Unlike McCall or Cascade, which can be crowded and busy, Featherville stays wonderfully calm and uncrowded. There are no long traffic jams on the way up, and the roads stay open and easy to navigate all year long, making it a stress-free trip in any season.
What we love most about this area is how completely secluded it feels. The property has private river frontage with no neighbors in sight, giving you the kind of privacy and stillness that’s almost impossible to find these days. You wake up to the sound of the river flowing, breathe in crisp mountain air, and look out over tall pines that surround you on every side.
Anderson Ranch Reservoir is just 15 minutes away and adds a whole new level of adventure. It’s an uncrowded spot for fishing, boating, waterskiing, wakeboarding, and even cliff jumping if you’re feeling daring. The reservoir’s clear water and rugged shoreline make it feel like your own private playground.
The area is also home to some hidden gems. Trinity Hot Springs, just a short drive away, offers a chance to soak in natural geothermal waters that are known for their mineral-rich properties and relaxation. The surrounding pine forests create a postcard-perfect setting for hikes, wildlife watching, or simply taking a deep breath and unwinding.
Featherville itself is a small, welcoming mountain town with just enough amenities to make things convenient while still keeping its charm. That’s what we love about it — you can unplug here, slow down, and connect with nature, your family, and yourself.

What makes this property unique
What makes Kokanee Creek Lodge truly unique is that it’s more than just a place to stay — it’s an experience. Tucked away on 15 secluded acres, the property offers rare privacy while still being easily accessible, creating the perfect blend of retreat and adventure. You won’t find another cabin that combines this much space, comfort, and fun under one roof. At 7,800 square feet, the home was thoughtfully designed to bring everyone together while still giving guests plenty of room to spread out. With 6 bedrooms, a dorm that sleeps 12, and 7 ½ bathrooms, it comfortably accommodates large groups, family reunions, or multiple families traveling together.
The setting itself is something special — a private pond, a river running through the property, and a natural swimming hole you can jump into on a summer afternoon. Guests can fish, swim, or kayak without ever leaving the property, which is something few vacation homes can offer. Beyond the water, the 9-hole disc golf course spans more than a mile, winding through the trees for an outdoor challenge that’s both scenic and fun.
Inside, the lodge feels like a playground for all ages. There’s a theater room that seats over 20 for movie marathons, a pool table, ping-pong table, 22-foot shuffleboard, and an 87-inch TV for game days or movie nights. Multiple game tables, a fully stocked closet of board games, and cozy spaces for reading or relaxing mean everyone finds their own corner of enjoyment.
The location adds another layer of uniqueness — just 15 minutes from Anderson Ranch Reservoir for boating, skiing, wakeboarding, and cliff jumping, yet surrounded by peaceful woods where you feel far from the world. It’s the rare combination of adventure and serenity, and that’s why every guest leaves with the same impression: there’s nothing quite like Kokanee Creek Lodge.
