Only 30 minutes northeast of Freiburg, the Haldenmühle lies on an exposed hill in the picturesque two-valleys of Simonswald. Numerous hiking trails and challenging mountain bike trails around the historic Schwarzwaldhof lead into untouched nature, where an original forest invites the soul to relax. The lovingly renovated Haldenmühle in 2019 is a feel-good place for up to 12 guests with a tiled stove and wellness area with sauna.
The living room
Wood and stone walls, in conjunction with the tasteful furnishings, create a nature-friendly feel-good ambience that extends over three floors. The oak flooring, which is equipped with underfloor heating, together with the cozy tiled stove, ensures cozy comfort. The centrally located fire pit on the ground floor is the hospitable centerpiece of the open-plan living and kitchen area. There, the light-flooded room with the traditional Hergottswinkel invites you to social gathering at the massive wooden table. The kitchen is equipped with coffee maker, oven, stove and fridge freezer and meets the requirements for the catering of up to 12 people. The kitchen adjoins the exit to the southeast facing wooden terrace, where it can be in the morning sun breakfast and the day invites you to linger. On the ground floor there is also a 16 sqm bedroom with valley view and a 10 sqm bathroom with shower and toilet.
Another bedroom with 16 sqm in the basement adjoins the approximately 20 sqm large wellness area, which is equipped with a daylight sauna for up to six people, a free-standing bathtub, spacious shower cubicle and separate toilet.
In the attic are two spacious bedrooms, each with 25 square meters, in which additional sleeping facilities can be created. A highlight on the upper floor are the skylights, which allow an unlimited view of the starry sky. The eight-square-foot bathroom has a shower, toilet and vanity.
