About this property

Beautiful 4 season mountain retreat

A hidden gem tucked in the woods. Enjoy nature with ALL the modern comforts: A/C, firepit, full kitchen, and wood stove.

Located on 2 acres with views of Pleasant Mountain, our open-concept home is inviting with an open space plan on the first floor. Minutes to Fryeburg, and only 20 minutes to Conway. Hiking, boating, kayaking, tubing the Saco, skiing, and snowmobiling are minutes away.

For connectivity, we have Starlink and three 55" Roku TV's set up with complimentary streaming services.

The first-floor bedroom has a queen bed. Upstairs, one bedroom has a king bed and the other has two XL twin beds (new in 2024 - 12" plush mattresses). There is a Pack n' Play available as well. Each bedroom, plus the living room, has A/C.

This house offers a comfortable and amenity-packed stay with a fully stocked kitchen including two coffee makers (Keurig and Nespresso), coffee pods, coffee creamer, a spice cabinet, a griddle, waffle maker, and a panini press.

Lovely views of Pleasant Mountain from the sliding doors in the living room as well as a large wrap-around deck (550 sq. feet). Located on the deck is a full-size Weber grill.

A Vermont Castings woodstove is available for use in the fall & winter. Directions and firewood are provided. For peace of mind, we also have a generator in case of a power outage.

The outdoor fire pit is the perfect spot to spend an evening. Four Adirondack chairs make it a relaxing spot to unwind and roast s'mores under a blanket of stars. We ask that guests bring their own firewood. There are many roadside stands in the area. Please do not burn the stacked wood; this wood is for our wood stove during the cold months.
You will have access to the entire house including the laundry room in the basement. A full-size washer and dryer is available for your use. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are provided.
Also in the basement are ski racks, hooks to hang gear, and boot mats to help keep items safe and dry between sessions.
We have two pairs of adult snowshoes, two pairs of kids' snowshoes, and trekking poles.
We have 4 river rafting tubes available for your use. You are welcome to use these during your stay. There is also an air pump available.

We have two kayaks available for your use along with life jackets. If our pond has enough water, you can kayak right from the house. Our little pond is filled with frogs and turtles; you will see lots of wildlife.

New in Summer 2023 - we have a kayak trailer! If your vehicle can tow, you can hook up the trailer to your car and take it to one of the many lakes and rivers in the area.

The house is located on a town-maintained dirt road. During winter, the driveway is plowed after 5 inches of snow.

This home is in a quiet family neighborhood with many full-time residents; please be respectful of late-night music and noise.

There is a section of open staircase to the second floor; children should be supervised.

the property was very clean, peaceful it had everything we needed. The only thing wrong is that there were way to many Mosquitos but that is the fault of mother nature and all of the rain that has fallen there recently.

Amazing Private Getaway
Going off of the pictures the home looked gorgeous and like the perfect little getaway for lounge back and escape. Actually experiencing the home in person, the pictures as beautiful as they are absolutely do not do it justice. The firepit out back overlooking the mountain and water is breath taking. Inside the home was perfect! It was clean and cozy, but also updated and modernized. All of us felt right at home! Would definitely return! On season/off season, it is the perfect place for any time of year!

Active mom of 2 teenagers. Love being outdoors and going on new adventures.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I purchased this property in 2005. We love the White Mountains and have always loved this area of Maine (Denmark is such a hidden gem). It really is an outdoor lover's paradise- skiing in the winter, kayaking and boating in the summer, and hiking and biking in the fall. After all these years, we are still exploring new areas.

What makes this property unique

This house captures the essence of everything we've fallen in love with about Maine - beautiful location, perfectly appointed home that is incredibly clean and tidy while still being warm and cozy.
